Psoriatic Arthritis help

Up until now I have been very healthy, except for being overweight. I have been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis. My father has skin psoriasis bad and they say it is in our blood. My rheumatologist gave me methotrexate and it through my liver enzymes out of whack, so I stop taking it at the Docs request. He then gave me Prednisone to curve the pain. I am gaining g lots of weight with that and I am already obese. Are there any alternatives to stop my joint degeneration and alleviate the pain in finger, hands and feet?

It is difficult to help you on the information that you have provided where you refer to Psoriatic Arthritis. Psoriasis is usually inherited and if you are sure that you have the same lesions as your father you can then be confirmed as one suffering from Psoriasis which you obviously know by now is very difficult to be cured.

You have stated that you are overweight but you have not indicated your age. Nat Phos 6x tablets can help to reduce your weight at the rate of 1-2 pounds per week. You can take 2 tablets twice daily and report your weight loss. You should observe that with this loss in weight many of your arthritic symptoms which you describe will also vanish.

If your father can be persuaded to go on a total vegetarian diet and use Arnica 30c in the wet dose 3 times daily, there is a possibility of his Psoriasis reacting favourably to this therapy. This will not occur overnight but some positive response should be noticeable in a month. You too may benefit from this same remedy which is made by inserting 3 pellets Arnica 30c into a 500ml bottle of spring water and you shake the bottle hard before you sip a teaspoonful which is the dose 3 times daily.

You will of course stop all other drugs you are using for your ailment.

Thanks for the reply. the symptoms I have are mainly in the joints. I do have small legions on the elbow and scalp.

I am 45 male, 5'10' at 285lbs. I have gained about 15 lbs in the last 6 months since on the meds. I have stopped all meds for a month now.

I will look into the Arnica as described as well as the Nat Phos for weight loss, thanks.

I was diagnosed two weeks ago by Rheumatologist that I have Psoriatic Arthritis. I would very much like to get advice on trying to get well. I am in a lot of pain, my feet are affected. In the morning it is often too painful to put my heels on the floor. Pressing my heels from underneath cause the pain. X-Rays showed up no problem. My feet tendons to my heels also hurt. I've had Psoriatis for fifteen years. I am a 42 Yrs old male. 5'11', weight 12 stone 10 pounds - regular/slim shape. My father and a number of my siblings have psoriatis but not arthritis. The Doctor prescribed Metothrexate, I took first dose, six hours later I had severe difficulty breathing and had heart palputations. I phoned my Doctor and the out of office nurse advised me to go to the Emergency Department at the nearest hospital without delay. I discontinued the medication. I talked to the Rheumatologist and she explained that the only other treatment available is a 'Level 2' treatment, however this would only be tried after I had tried the Level 1 Treatment Metathrexate. If I remember correctly the Level2 treatment is also toxic - but I have not clarified this.
I am married, Country Ireland, Non-Diabetic, No particular desire for sweets, or salt or sour. I don't have particular strong thirst, tongue sensation normal. BP 110 over 85.
Had four acupuncture sessions. First two acupuncture sessions eased the pain - however the last two - no real change. I am also taking chinese herbs boiled (quite bitter). Taking plenty of honey, banana, boiled veg soup, green tea. Used to have IBS - IBS improved a lot with this diet for past 3 weeks.
My job is desk job.
I like all foods - especially good quality thai mildly spicy, but not eating this now. No coffee, sugar or caffene now.
I am usually calm however recently I am indeed stressed about something else.
I think my psoriatis gets worse when I am stressed. I have psoriatis on my back, elbows, arms, groin area, behind my ears, legs upper and lower, scalp. Also pilesand IBS
In past few weeks I have pains in my chest - I don't know if these pains are becasue of stress or the arthritis. I have difficulty taking in a full breath.
I would be very grateful for any advice you can give me

Sincerely
G

Hi, I'm looking for any help possible. I'm not fully diagnosed as having psoriatic arthritis but my Doctor is sure this is what I have.

You presented your detail in not enough or fit for homoeopathic treatment I request you present your sign & symptoms with your expression / sensation / Feeling / Event / so Gesture are required for homeopathic treatment. So please send me your following details given below.

I am 21 years old so not exactly happy with the news, I am for my height (approx. 160cm) a little overweight at 86kgs, but I have seen someone about this and I am working on reducing it. I have gutatte psoriasis which presents in small tear shaped lesions all over my arms and legs, and starting to work around my stomach a bit too.
The hand pain began in August 2010 and initially I thought I had sprained my wrist, but the pain has worsened since. First thing in the morning my Hands are worst, and I can barely make a fist out of them. My wrists ache, and finger joints can be especially sore. This is on both wrists, recently my right foot has started to hurt a bit too.

In terms of my day to day I am a programming student at University and so I am on a Computer a lot and of course this doesn't help, unfortunately I am in my final year so I have little choice here. My doctor is certain it is arthritis, but it could be something like tendonitis or something too.

I have a semi poor diet, I do eat junk food, but not all the time and I drink plenty of water daily.

Either way any help of any type would be immensely appreciated.
