Blepharospasm is an abnormal, involuntary blinking or spasm of the eyelids.
causes
Blepharospasm is associated with an abnormal function of the basal ganglion from an unknown cause. The basal ganglion is the part of the brain responsible for controlling the muscles. In rare cases, heredity may play a role in the development of blepharospasm.
symptoms
Most people develop blepharospasm without any warning symptoms. It may begin with a gradual increase in blinking or eye irritation. Some people may also experience fatigue, emotional tension, or sensitivity to bright light. As the condition progresses, the symptoms become more frequent, and facial spasms may develop. Blepharospasm may decrease or cease while a person is sleeping or concentrating on a specific task.

Dear Dr. Sharma,

My mother has been suffering from blepharospasm for the last 1year. She has been taking homeopathic medicine but it does not seem to work for her. I have listed below the information that you have asked for. Would you please prescribe her proper medicine? Thanks!

a). The eyelid shuts involuntarily, and it takes a great effort to open it. Often either of the eyelids won't open properly even after apply extreme force.

b) Extremely sensitive to light and breeze. Eyelids shut immediately as soon as they are exposed to either light or little breeze.

C) Eyelids shut while chewing food.

d) Eyelids shut while climbing stairs.

14. Current BP (without medicine and with medicine) BP medicine and cholesterol medicine are taken on regular basis. Doctors suggested not to skip a single day for the rest of the life.

15. What exactly is happening ? Cannot move from one place to another without assistance. Eyelids remain shut at least 85% time during the whole day.

20. One situation that had a big effect on you ? Cholesterol Level was at risk level an year ago, but it's in Moderate level now. The BP used to go up frequently back in those days. Now it remains at normal level.

Gets angry very quickly, very obsessed about keeping family together. Often scolds on the maids.

Gets scared whenever she is alone in home.

In such cases gelisimium and causticum work good. I hope in your case gelsiumum and kali phos cured the case
