Are we slow?
Hi all,We've had a report that the forum has been very slow; taking minutes to access a page. Is anybody else experiencing this?

hi everyone, i'm a newcomer and i've been looking at this page a few times and i don't think it's slow at all.

There are times when it is slow but assume that is when one is trying to access a page someone else is working on?

A lot of times it is slow. A lot of times, I'm having to ckick and click on a link. I have to close all of my windows and keep ABC the only opened window and still nothing.

When something finally happens, it is very slow.
The only exception was right this second when I came back to add this additional sentence. It was very fast?

I've not made any changes yet.
Pat, when you say slow, how slow (minutes? seconds?)? All the time or just particular times of day? Or no pattern at all? Do other sites seem slow at the same time?
DOes it feel better hot or better cold? (joke!)

It's primarily this site that feels cold sometimes, but girilal's Beautiful Botony College thread has been keeping things very warm here lately. LOL
It's just this site that gives me problems.
I haven't noticed the times, but I will keep more vigilent and see if I can establish a pattern.
It's seem to be even slower when making a post.
Now that you posted this question and I answered it, I think the site should work much better for me.

more than slow..the reply thread gets lost more often than not, and if one has not bothered to copy the reply...it has to be rewritten.

Yes,about two months ago this problem was at the top,now a days it is not happening atleast with me.

how does it get lost - what happens before it gets lost? i.e. do you click 'post reply' again? (that would do it). Anybody else getting this problem?

I am a computer & Elec. Engg with experience right from Main Frame computers till date for about 23 years. I am using a DSL Broadband. I am in India. I feel that this site is slow as far as our place is concerned.
Only people with Broad band internet connection would be able to browse this site, mostly. It is possible to increase speed from your end and I think it is required, subject to facilities available with you. As a member, I am aware that this site is more like a Service and Charity to Humanity than earning any money. So If possible, pl increase speed it resources permit. THANKS !!

I've been fussing with this site since 9:15 a.m. today and it is now 9:43 a.m. and it has become almost impossible to acces your site.
It was very slow at 9:15 a.m. and now almost inaccessible.
