Root Canal Or tooth extraction? Which is good.

Hi everybody,

I need some advice on deciding whether to have root Canal or Tooth extraction.

My Dentist said the uppper right side second molar needs root canal since there is big cavity sitting on the nerve. And she also said it is a dead tooth.

So she showed me two options.
Root canal or extraction.

Any suggestions. Thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
First try the root canal see the result if again pain started after root canal the you have to extract the teeth but root canal is the first preferance.

I have heard that a root canal allows for the infection to be covered up and remain buried which is risky because the infection gets into the blood stream and could lead to a heart attack. Extracting the tooth is suppose to be a better option and if necessary replace with a prosthetic

I am for extraction, but not for the same reasons. If you have a filling, and then the filling has to come out for the root canal, those poisons flood your body. Root canal used to be thing, but holistic dentists don't recommend it anymore.
