Dreams related to the remedy?

Hello, I've been told by two
different homeopaths that Sulphur is probably my remedy.

I had two different tries with
two Dr.s but neither was
particulary successful at a
constitutional cure for what
ever reason. (6 years apart)

I had mentioned to the two that one of the mental symptoms was occasional
lack of confidence, lack of
self worth, insecurity,
and and some
unusual feelings of anxiety.
These appear from time to time
and when ever they occur,
suplhur responds and relieves
it for a while.

I took a dose at 200c about
6 weeks ago. LAst night
I had a dream which those
same feelings manifested.
I have been unemplyed for a
while, some where in my mind
it embarresses me deeply and
I try to avoid thinking of it when ever I can.
I dreamt I was with some old
friends on vacation somewhere
and they were talking about
their jobs and how they were
paying for and buying this and
that, and I just wanted to shrink back and disappear
because it made me feel like
a nothing loser.
Secondly, seemingly interspersed with this dream,
there were other charcters
(which I didn't know) just
running around talking about
their bad breath and how they
couldn't get rid of it, some were gargling with mouth wash
others had bits of floss
dangling out their mouth, etc,etc.
This struck a nerve with me because I recently have
had some teeth problems which
I've yet to see a dentist about. This dream(s) were so
pronounced that it woke me up
and I had to get out of bed
I was so agitated. It was about 6am.

These symptms I think are part
of the remedy picture. If so,
what does it say about the course of events. Is the
remedy proceeding properly,
or is it antidoted?
Thanks for reading this
long(ish) post.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.

I have had similar dreams before, maybe
a few times in the last 10
years. I don't remember the
details, but they were similar in the respect of highlighting
things, and waking me up, things
troubling me on a subconcious
level.

No new symptoms have occurred this time. Although I have
antidoted lycopodium and sulphur
itself in the past. Lyc.
because of some severe irritaion
in the limbs; perhaps
nerve-related, strong tingling, numbness, etc.
I antidoted Sulphur in the
past due to a burning in the lungs that wouldn't go away.

This time though, the Sulpher
is working. Perhaps because I
gave it a long rest, or because I tried something else
in the interim (calc followed
by lyc).

Aanii!

Excuse me for being a little off topic... but, as it relates to dreams...

I was wondering if there is anyone out there interested in approaching the topic of dreams....

often times, I have really lucid dreams... and while i realize this is a site for homeopathic remedies and question, I think it may be a good source of individuals who are connected to the greater good of the dream time....

I am new here, and mean no offense to individuals who come here only for homeopathic discussion.. just planting a little seed for conversation, often times i feel in need of!

Many people in my encounters dont really want to hear about or discuss dreams... so this is an invitation for anyone who enjoys analzing dreams!

Mahalo!

The main reason I brought it up is because the second homeopath
I saw used to ask me during a
treatment whether I had any
interesting dreams. Although I asked her as to the relevance,
she was reluctant to explain what she was looking for.

Which is why I made my post. I
was wondering if such a dream
may be a sign that the remedy
was woring (or not)

PS on one of the Dr. visits I told her that I was traveling to England to see some family.
She asked me how I felt and I explained a little nervous and jumpy.
She got all flustered and made
me repeat the dose. So *she*
certainly thought it was related to my case.

Hey Dave,

I have little to offer reguarding the homeo cure... but i would suggest that it is your subconscience tapping your conscience to recognize and accept your feelings for what they are..( all be them negative or dark).

facing the inner demons that plague negative self talk may be what you need... as hard as it is at times, really taking a look at those bad feelings we have towards our current situations often times helps us to accept them for what they are, rather than crunch them in the storage chest, for them to manifest into bigger things.

I was unemployed for a while myself, and I remember feeling that way as well. I tend to be extra hard on myself... but then little reminders come into play, and my favorite saying is:
'You have to live through something to learn something'...

Other than being loving towards yourself, and understanding that you will take some lesson from this.. I would try some kinesis for your sulfur.. read into kinesiology (excuse spelling) can help you determine what medicines your body needs....

if you go towards it you need it.. if you go away from it.. you dont.... the principle is simple.. yet would require some reading.

Be well!

dreams arean important aspect of understanding what is occuring with an individual...yet problem is conscious interpretation--the experience itself is key to understanding--as often shows deviattions or releases for waking unawareness...over weight on dreams is to be avoided--when underlying ill is addressed all else folows suit--dreams represent this and a consciousness develpos--of a new nature...

John and J*Mie,
thanks very much for your
replies. I'm going to read
Dreams, Symbols,& Homeopathy by Jane Cicchetti .
It's a fascinating area.

'davexnet' :
A conventional homeopath will easily interpret your detailed dream description and even determine your constitution.

Pathologically, dreams indicate various physical distrubances, some of them include Gastro Intestional Tract distrubances, metabolism disorder, thyroid gland malfunction or other hormonal problems besides many other factors ....

Psychologically, dreams indicate various thought pattern (attitude) distrubances, some of them include, loss of concentration, loss of confidence, financial insecurity, escapist behaviour, over-sensitive'ness of self and others and what others say about you, social disharmony, desire to lead a sedentary life-style and many other factors .....

Alongwith whatever, homeopathic potencised medicine you are taking currently, please take the following (alongwith with your homeopathic medicine)

BIO-CHEMICALLY, I would suggest the following :
Ferr.Phos.-3X + Kali.Phos..-12X. (bio-chemic triturated tissue salt)
Four tables of each, atleast 3 times a day, till symptoms persist,
The above is highly safe and won't interfere with your potencised medicine.

Also THINK of Psorinum-1M (one drop liquid direct on tongue) for three serial nights, every 3 month apart (however no other potencised medicines when on above). If Sulphur was your constitutional medicine (as per your local homeopath doctor) then Psorinum, as stand-alone, will boost up your pathological results. Though consult your local homeopath before this.
