Help

Hi, I am new.
I try to practise homeopath esp. with my kids.

I am so confused. I have been doing the Candida cleanse now but just found out I have a ovarian cyst and 3 herniations in my back, along with some degeneration and mild stegnosis and cysts. A lot of my symptoms could be from that and not the candida.?? or Mercury poisoning? ( fillings.)I am trying to get them all out. 1 to go after my next root canal.

I am just confused . I have so many things happening. Basically I am always dizzy and foggy headed. Can't see too well even though Dr.s say I am healthy. Feel like something is in my way when I see. A fog. Like you are on a cold pill but doesn't go away.

2nd Neurologist after two years did the MRI to find the other issues. I have numb hands from carpel tunnel , TMJ, Leaky gut, allergies,Usual Sinus, but it's been doing well. Using the homeopath Zicam for allergies. Works so far for two months. I have numb legs and feet which hurt too off and on, throb. I do get pains in my lower ab and during my time of the month feels as though I am being cut in half.
I am confused. What do I address? Who do I go to. Med. Dr.s for the cyst and Chiro for my back,Holistic for the candida? Holistic Dentist would be great if you know someone in So. Fl.

Is there a homeopath med to kill the yeast? It is all internally . I am using garlic this week and I'll use oil of oregano next week. I am on the right diet and eat organic and no gluten.

Guidance and advise woudl be so appreciated.
If you know of a good holistic Dr. I am in South Fl.

Thank you for listening.

God Bless

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I don't know where you are in South Florida but here are some names that might help. They are all Miami area. If you are in Fort Lauderdale or Boca, call one of these dentists and ask for a referral; these people pretty much stick together. Or call a private health food store, preferable one that has a show on the radio. I have heard many programs referring to dentists.

Candida will keep you in a fog. I am not a homeopath so maybe one of the others will answer you on that. But I will tell you what I do when I have that problem. My first friend is colloidal silver. Put that topic in the search area on the left of this forum. Lot's of people use grapefruit seed extract too. I prefer silver. Internally and externally. I go off carbs totally for 10 days. Candida feeds on sugar and starches. It takes about 10 days to get the cravings out of your system, then you won't want to feed the yeast so often. You have to starve them. If you are a vegetarian, and have candida, I would say maybe you want to consider not being a vegetarian until you get stronger. Some people, me included, just cannot be vegetarians and in fact require lots of protein and vegetables. Note I didn't say fruit; it feeds yeast. Open a can of tuna and make tuna salad and eat the whole thing without crackers. If you are protein starved, you will feel a lifting of the depression almost in 15 minutes. This kind of diet, protein and vegetables, will help you with your periods too. Also don't eat anything that gives you gas, don't overeat, and take a little Vit C the week before and during your period.

If you live in Fort Lauderdale there is a great holistic chiropractor (or used to be) at Oakland Park and 441, just east of 441 a few blocks on the south side. His name is Peter something and he helped me a lot years ago. Look in the Fort Lauderdale phone book.

If you live in Miami, I guess you need to call the holistic dentists for a referral or maybe google holistic doctor south florida. Wish I could be more help.
You may get flu like symptoms, this is the die-off of those nasty buggers.

If it were me, I would change my diet before I got the mercury removed. That's if it were me, because it is difficult to deal with so many problems unless you take them one at a time. You can go to doctor after doctor but if you don't get on the diet right for you, it won't help that much. I used to be a vegetarian and I certainly love fruit. But I know my body just turns fruit, starches and sugars into yeast. I fought the protein and vegetables for a long time. I just couldn't believe that fruit wasn't good for me and I really didn't like that many vegetables. But taste buds change with time, thank God.

Good luck to you.

Hello Patti

You sound so much like me. I tried to be vegetarian but only made myself terribly sick. I thought that since I cured myself of Candida that I could now be vegetarian. Never worked. I have to eat primarily proteins and vegestables just like you.

What do you use colloidal silver for?

Pat2006 last decade
I use it for anything and everything. Hemorrhoids or vaginal infections, usually one or two times cures those. Stomach upsets or food that you have doubts about after eating; take a spoon or two. Any inflammation or infection, like when shoes rub the back of the foot, or even more serious. For bedsores, or skin that is about to break down, or the skin tears that older people get on their arms, I soak a paper towel in it and put it on for at least 15 minutes. For the last things, I use it with gotu kola, two capsules twice a day, but both before 2PM.

Do you have any other uses for it? BTW, I have found that a low potency works just as good as the high potencies.

Thank you for the recommendations. I am in North Lauderdale/Boca area. Most of my Dr.s are Holy Cross Drs.

Wow, I'll try to starve it . I do love sw. pot. is that a no no.? I am so confused on what is a carb. or not. I'll search on line.

Thank you again. I only have one filling left to get out. After I get the root canal. The others are all gone. ONly thing is can the crowns or bridge have it in them. They were suppose to be gold.

God Bless.

There is an excellent book called The Yeast Syndrome by Dr. Trowbridge which actually breaks the food up into 4 groups.

They want you to go this diet (temporarily, of course) and then start adding things back in slowly (one group at a time) until you get no reaction from none of the 4 groups.

I think for a lot of people going on a strict diet is very difficult. So I recommend you do the diet backwards. Eat what is on the first through third group and avoid everyting on the 4th group, then move on to avoid group the foods in group 3 and 4, etc.

The book also has a very lengthy list of symptoms which you can use to check off as they dissapear.

You can easily get a used copy of the book at half.com for about .75 plus shipping.

Patti,

Is colloidal silver a homeopathic remedy?

Where can I buy it? Is this something that I can get at the health food store?

Carbs are in mostly all vegetables, fruit and dairy, but some vegetables have very few carbs. The main things to stay away from are sugar, flour or anything made with it, any type of potato or the Carribean varieties of such, rice, pasta, and nearly any kind of fruit. I also get candida symptoms quickly from Splenda, which is a sugar substitute. I have to use stevia. For protein, I use tofu, fish (canned salmon/tuna or fresh), beef, eggs, and occasional pork. For vegetables, I use any salad materials, any green vegetables except lima beans, eggplant, all squashes, radishes, onion and garlic. My favorite meal is a huge salad with some pieces of steak thrown in. You can eat lots of food on this diet, just not the comfort food. Use whatever dressing you want, and don't try to cut fat out, just avoid fried foods. You also can have protein shakes. Make your own or check the cans to be sure the carb content is 15 or under. You want to stay under 30 carbs per day for those first 10 days. I also avoid beans, because of the carbs and because I have a lot of abdominal congestion that I have to watch and when I had trouble with my periods, I learned that anything that gave me gas only gave me more pain with anything else going on in that area. You will be surprised at how much your fog will lift when you starve those yeast bugs out of your system.

Since Pat 2006 is on the same type diet, maybe she will pop in here with some suggestions.

Holy Cross is on Commercial. Why don't you check out Dr. Alongi? I say that because of the problems you have with your back. He does not use physical manipulation. He uses a 'gun" which eliminates the fright I always get before the pop a chiropractor normally does. I live in Miami now for quite some time, and I don't need a chiropractor any more, but he really helped me before. You know in Florida, a chiropractor can do much what an MD can; it's different than in most states.

If you give up carbs for ten days, it will only be difficult for the first 4-5 days! You can always add a very few higher carb vegetables in after that, tomatoes, carrots, beets.

I am diabetic and this helps my blood sugar too. You may find that certain things trigger candida symptoms after a while and you can avoid them. I have to avoid peanuts and peanut butter! Although I have no peanut allergy, it keeps my blood sugar so high and when blood sugar is high, here comes candida. As a matter of fact, candida comes often 2-3 years before diabetes is diagnosed, so if you have it in your family, you may want to stay on this diet.

To FLMom: Here is something taken from Dr. Joseph Mercola's website:

'Different Metabolic Types

Protein types do better on low-carbohydrate, high-protein and high-fat diets. A typical ratio might be 40 percent protein and 30 percent each of fats and carbohydrates, but the amounts could easily shift to 50 percent fats and as little as 10 percent carbohydrates depending on individual genetic requirements.

Carb types normally feel best when the majority of their food is carbohydrate. However, just as we only have one word for snow while the Eskimos have many more, we only have one word for carbs while there are actually different types. There is a major difference between vegetables and grains and yet they are both referenced as 'carbs.'

To Pat 2006:

Colloidal silver is not homeopathic. I have a generator and make my own, but I give away lots of it. You can buy a generator on the internet for a little over $100. If you search colloidal silver on the Forum search, one of the posters tells how to make a generator.

You can buy it at a health food store, on the internet or some drugstores/superstores. But my favorite place to buy it is Puritan's Pride. It comes by mail and is CHEAP! They only have low dose, but the low dose works very well. If I have to mail someone silver, I always send them the kind from Puritan's Pride. You can google it and find it easily.

At this time, the thing I want to suggest is to avoid the nighshade family.

Nighshade family:
Tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, bellpeppers. I just found a website that even includes tobacco and petunias, which is news to me.

Some people include other types of peppers in the nightshade family, but since I have never been able to tolerate hot peppers I have no personal experience with them making me sick. I avoid all peppers because I have never learned which ones are sweet and which ones are hot. I just don't take any chances with them. I have even choked on black pepper (this symptoms greatly diminished after I recovered from Candida)

Even after I recovered completely from Candida, bellpeppers and eggplant make me very sleepy.

Also, nightshade family have a reputation for causing arthritic pain.

I once knew a woman who told me that her friend was able to leave her wheelchair after 20 years when she quit eating and exposing herself to the nightshade family. Apparently, she was so addicted to homemade hot sauce, which turned out to be a big cause of her being crippled for about 20 years.

I'll definately try this. I am hypoglacemic and always followed a high protein diet but in Jan I went for a blood analysis which said my blood was dirty , metals, candida, and I wasn't absorbing or digesting my foods and I need to go vegitarian. But I seem to get really dizzy after, moreso eating a lot of veggies. I'll definately go back to this. I think I felt better. I keep trying to remember what I ate during college that kept me migraine free and not as foggy. I guess it was the protein diet.

Wow., I'll stay away from the peppers too . Maybe my back will feel better.

Thank you so much.
God bless you all for being here and helping little ole me.

Hello Wendy,

Also, understand clearly that cooked vegestables change in composition and raw is always best if you can eat them.

I ate 90% of my vegestables raw for many years until I started having trouble with my gums/teeth. I was able to tell the difference in how I felt. My body certainly preferred the raw which was less starchy.

Get a copy of the book. It will help you identify which foods you do better on and which ones you don't.

Wendy, please keep check on your blood sugar the rest of your life. I was hypoglycemic when younger. And the three indicators of future diabetes are candida, hypoglycemia and large babies!

If you have a diabetic friend, they usually will check your sugar level. Fasting blood sugar is one indicator, but more revealing, in my experience is the post prandial blood sugar, which is blood sugar taken after you eat. You take it two hours after you eat and it should be no higher than 140, no matter what you ate. My fasting blood sugar was normal for years when my 2hr PP was not.

I had my sugar checked a year ago or so and it didn't even show the hypoglacemia which I was told when I was young, borderline they said so I always watchmy diet and haven't eaten much sugar since I was about 12 or so. But thank you for the advise. Except for my Grandpa, no one in my family has it. He had it later in life when he lost his sight . He loved his sugar and beer.
Thanks again.

Trying to deal with the cyst at this point and I'll keep watching my diet. I stopped the garlic and will contiue with the milk thistle for another day or so. I have a pelvic ultrasound on Thursday so I don't want anything to interfer.

Avoid all artificial sweeteners also. They are known to cause pain to the point of crippleness.

I have fibromyalgia and there are times when I will eat potatoes but pay the price in the morning when I wake up stiff. Sometimes potatoes don't have any affect on me and sometimes they do. So I avoid them most of the time.

I avoided them for many years even before I acquired fibromyalgia because they would cause my legs to ache especially the chins. Then I got a dog and she healed my legs and was able to get away with eating potatoes (which I still ate only occassionaly)

So pay attention to what you eat to find out if anything is aggrevating your health.
