Flank Pain

Hello,
I have been having some bilateral flank pain, on and off, for about one month. It is a constant dull ache, that is worse in the morning and almost seems to get better throughout the day. I have had urinalysis and CBC, to rule out any kidney infection. I began using an herbal colon cleanse formula from GNC about a month ago because I suffer from severe constipation ( I take it at night) and was curious if there are any herbs that could be causing this pain or pain associated with the kidneys?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Almost certainly.

If the pain started when you started taking the formula, they are almost certainly related. Stop it now.

Homeopathy is not the same thing as herbal, and if you want to try homeopathy, you have to work out which remedy matches your particular brand of constipation.

The homeopathic remedy for constipation would depend on a lot of factors. (when it started, when its worse, wether it's painful, etc, etc) Have a go at the online remedy finder on this site, and see what you come up with.

You've tried prunes?

Never thought I would post a problem, but here I am with right flank pain of 7 weeks duration,Have had diagnostic workup consisting of abdominal xray, ultrsound, blood work/urinalysis,ct scan and bone scan. Iam unable to sleep on my back except for a few hours in the early hours, otherwise Ijust sit in my chair for a few more hours. Any sane suggestions? Help would be really appreciated.

I also have been having that same dull flank pain described above for several months now, worse in the morning. I have been seeing a urologist and still have no idea what is happening. They kept finding white blood cells, so they gave me a course of antibiotics which seemed to lessen the pain but it isn't gone. After I wake up, and am vertical for a while, the pain dissipates, but still no clue as to what is happening. Did either of you andrea22 or aj figure out what was causing your problems? Thanks.
