Ear inflamation w/mild cold 12 months old

My son who just turned 12 months has had a cold for about a week and a half. He has a dry hacking cough but sometimes has a very congested sounding cough at night. Sounds like hes clearing the mucous so to speak. Hes also had a very runny nose, that is thick and mostly clear. Hes sneezing often and the mucous really comes out when he sneezes. Its very messy. It can be at times whitish or green in the mornings. I took him to his ped and she said that both of his ears are infected. Hes not crying excessivly, but is a bit more clingy then usual and likes to be held. Doesnt want to sleep away from me at this time. Hes not pulling at his ears and his overall attitude hasnt changed other then the wanting to be held. I have done Garlic Mullein and the hylands ear drops in the past. Should I give that a try?? Or is there soemthing else I should look into. Also he has no fever.
Thanks!!

200c DAILY is OVER THE TOP a single dose will do. Consecutive doses simply antidote each other.
