missed period

i was to start my period about 9 days ago and have not. there is no chance of pregnancy. what could be the cause of this and is there anything that i can do to start my period because i feel awful!

i am experiencing my usual pms symtoms (extreme moodiness, fatigue, headache) but for the past 2 weeks my entire body has been sore, especially the backs of both legs/thighs and my shoulders and back...ive not had this symptom before. i wake up each morning with what feels like menstral cramps but i still have not started. i am fatiged, sore, light headed and crampy all day long.

i am 40 years old. it seems like i have always had pms exactly 2 weeks before i start...but it disappears after i start my period and i feel normal again..

i just feel really bad....i would appreciate any suggestions.

You are 40 years old, so may be you are nearing menopause and that is the time when periods become irregular. What is there to worry about? In some women menopause comes earlier than 40 years age also.

dear thistlewish, if you are experiencing the usual pms problems, then you should not worry at all. My period was once a month late and the whole time i was experiencing my pms symptoms. the reason u mite b late is bcuz uve probably gained or lost weight or have been really stressed out or thinkin about somethign too much. My advice is for you to relax, stop thinking about it and take aspirin and drink hot fluids itl help you get your period faster.

take care.

Please take Pulsatilla 30 two doses and one dose of Sepia 30 at night.
This will relieve you from
PMS syndrome as well regularise your periods

robina!
I read in materia medica that sepia is inimical to pulsatilla. Is it safe to take both together?

thank you all for your advice...i started my period this morning...being late is not so much my concern as the intensity of my symptoms.

pms has never been an easy place for me to be....but i have always experienced great relief once i start. this time was quite different...i did not feel anything like myself...and i certainly do not want to go through this next month.

i am not looking forward to menopause and if it will be anything like my experience for the past 2 weeks....then yes i am worried.

deoshlok...i will answer your questionaire. i would like to aleviate the intensity of pms...i will give you as many details as i can.

thank you again..

sr1202,

Please take a single dose of Pulsatilla 1M and see whether you get your periods within a week.
If you don't, you may take a single dose of Lycopodium 1M after a week.

One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 2 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 2 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.

Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

You may also take 10 drops Senecio aureus Q twice a day daily from second day onwards until menses appear.
