Ear cracking when swallowing

I had an inner ear infection for about three weeks in my left ear, which was cured by antibiotics. No discharege from the ear ever occurred. However, for the past two weeks I have had 'ear-cracking' in my left ear when swallowing. I have been taking Sudafed for three days along with Kali Mur 6X in the hope of unplugging the eustachian tube, and eliminating the 'ear-cracking' in my left ear. I would appreciate obtaining a reliable remedy for eliminating the 'ear-cracking', and knowing how long it should take to eliminate the 'ear-cracking'.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Two remedies come to mind:
Kali Sulphuricum is noted as: earache, with crackling in ears when chewing, caused from Eustachian tubes blocked with mucus.

Or Nitricum Acidum: crackling in ears when chewing. But symptoms are on right side, not left. Also with symptoms of sore throat.

So since your ear infection was on the left, I might try the Kali Sulph first. 30c, 3 dry pellets (which is one dose). If it gets better, do not redose. If it doesn't get better, take another dose. It should help within 48 hours.

Good luck!
