This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
best rememdy is to see your dentist for a thorough cleaning. he can add some white composite filling to cover the black spots.

secondly, it's a great idea to floss your teeth every day. this disturbs the plaque colonies (bad bugs) from setting up shop in your gums, and plaque is what causes gums to recede and teeth to decay and breath to stink.

3rdly, a rinse of warm salt water after brushing and flossing really helps to keep those bugs in check. Always a good idea to do this right before bed.

and lastly, take a look at your diet. Try removing as much sugary and carb laden foods as possible, and if you can't, atleast a good brushing after eating these foods.

good luck

Have you tried Colgate Total toothpaste? It is great at removing the black spots. By the end of the month, they should all be gone.

gum massage can help, buy some vitamin e, break open the capsules and massage that in with your fingers twice a day after brushing. As well, try chewable vitamin C 3 times a day. I've heard that powdered vitamins can be rubbed right in to the gums also.

make sure you use a very soft bristle brush, and be careful not to injure the tissues. Buy a tongue scraper, as that help elliminate lots of bacteria.

It might be helpful to take a good multivitamin with folic acid, along with some coenzyme Q10 for several months.

good luck

For reseding gums, massaging works wonders in just two days. If massaging with just your finger and the vitamin oil does not do the trick for you, try a finger dog brush. It makes instant miracles to bring your gums back to normal again

teflon tape works amazingly well, I have used the kind you get at the hardware store 'just to see' and it worked better than floss, but I wonder if it's safe as it's probably not food grade.

You can now buy 'GLIDE', which is basically the same. It's a flat teflon ribbon, that doesn't snag, and will break easily if stretched. My teeth are very tight, so regular floss just gets stuck. call around to different shops to see if they carry it.

try that!
