This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Mercury is the most toxic non-radioactive metal on earth. I had my mercury fillings removed, and replaced with white composite. it's not as strong, but I just feel better about not having mercury leaching in to my body.

For years they had us convinced that the mercury in fillings was harmless because it was combined with other metals. We know know this to be completely false.

The remedy is to avoid mercury, and replace your fillings.mercury is found in lots of other common things too, which might be best avoided...

Amalgam dental fillings (a.k.a. 'silver" fillings)
Shellfish
Tuna
Grains treated with fungicides that contain methyl mercury
Waterproof mascara
Some hair dyes
Preservatives found in some vaccines (Thimerosal)
Hemorrhoidal medicines
Yellow, vermillion and cinnabar paint pigments
Mildew-resistant paints
Gardening chemicals
Fluorescent light bulbs

If you suspect you have mercury poisoning, you can find a doctor that is skilled in this subject (which can be difficult to do), or just have your fillings replaced and see if you notice a difference (this can be expensive).
