The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Member feedback questionaire

Hi all,

On another thread, which went off topic, we were talking about ways people could give feedback on the quality of advice they receive here. This will take the form of a short questionaire, which people will be emailed to members a week or so after a thread they started goes quiet.

Which member's advice did you follow?
How helpful did you find them?
How would you rate your progress since following their advice?
Any other comments.

The individual answers, as well as the averaged results will be available in member's profiles.

In some cases, it will be irrelevent, in which case, members will of course have the option of ignoring it.

If anyone has ideas for other questions, or other ways of approaching this issue, your comments are welcome here.

Thank you,
Simon

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Simon,

I would welcome your questionnaire as it may show what members really think of those like me who try to help anyone who posts on the ABC in the hope of a cure.

As you are aware I have often been criticized for my approach to Homeopathy which does not coincide with the classical method but has still been successful in evoking a positive response in the majority of cases that I have treated. Your questionnaire will help to collate data on cures and other factors if members will hopefully respond.

This may serve to open the eyes of the classically trained fraternity to whom my direct method of addressing the ailment is anathema. They have tried hard to raise the alarm over possible repercussions in the future of more grevious ailments which they feel must inevitably follow my use of remedies. Unfortunately their alarms seem to have fallen on deaf ears as anyone can read of the successful outcome of the many cases that I have resolved and as far as I am aware there has never been even one case that qualified for the classically motivated warnings of doom.

I would like to have records collected from members who may like to spend a few minutes after they have been helped by me and others for purposes of record and I hope that your idea will take off successfully.

Simon,

I am not averse to this process.

However, in what manner do you propose to differentiate between the genuine advice users and people who make n-number of login ids for the purpose of self-praise or to show down others.

You have alredy confirmed that there has been blatant and unrestricted use of multiple login ids by some members..

Best wishes,

dear simon,

i like this idea and agree that ip addresses should be checked in order to determine 'bogus' vs legitimate feedback.

'However, in what manner do you propose to differentiate between the genuine advice users and people who make n-number of login ids for the purpose of self-praise or to show down others. '

I have seen a few site ranking sites where people do this and it is normaly pretty transparent.

IP addresses are just one weapon in the arsenal; we can also start looking at the kind of typos they make, favourite phrases, and so on. Without access to IP information, Nesha managed to spot somebody doing this (though was wrong about somebody else.). We have our ways, and the potential embarrassment of being caught out should be deterrent enough to most people.

Besides, if they are that deceitful, it's better that they spend their time having a conversation with themselves than anyone else...

I am so confused, My understanding is that the Moderator is trying to make grading among members advising on this Forum on the basis of customers' feedback?.

If this is the case, What that mean to:

1. The Memebers ( They are all either university or college graduated professionals)

2. The Customers ( They don't care who and what. Also I fear that there is no a known device that measures the genuiness of customers feedback), and

3. The Modarator for you, more headache than before.

It's look like that the participants of this Forum have forgot or deviated from the root cause of this Forum. For my understand, the root cause is to promote Homeopathy and save humanity from their sufferings.

Are we living far from a civilized World? I simply couldn't understand.

Please, try to keep our differences within ourselve and respect each others as professionals.

I am very sorry, am not that happy. It dosen't matter for you, forgive me.

I was reluctant to respond to this posting since my over all view is that it could easily become a two edged sword. On one hand; Yes it could clean things up nicely so that those in need of assistance could screen out the less informed (including me since this is not my field of expertise,YET!)on the other hand it could easily evolve into a mud slinging fiasco,Not that it hasn't begun already on a subtle level.I think a generalized'MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING' category would be sufficient.I will eleborate further(time permitting )if anyone cares to hear the idea.
