The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Thanks to Joe De Livera

Joe,

I have been suffering from asthma for about 10 years now and living in Australia. Last week while searching for a cure for asthma I read your suggested treatment. I took one dose next day and after a very long time I could breathe properly without any problem at all. I am now not using any asthma medicine apart from your treatment.

God bless you for your help to me and so many others.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I am glad to note that you have been helped by the therapy that I have used for Asthma but you did not mention the identity of the remedy.

I note that you have used just one dose of the remedy and you could breathe easily.

Please note however that you may have to continue the treatment for some time as just one dose cannot help you permanently.

This is the remedy as you suggested:

Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from your nearest supermarket.
Pour out 100ml
Drop in 3 pellets or 1 drop of liquid Nat Sulph 6c into the 400ml water
Cap the bottle tightly and succuss it 4-6 times by shaking the bottle in your hand to aerate the water.
Pour out 1 teaspoonful of the potentized remedy into half a cup of water from another bottle of the same water and stir it gently.
Sip 1 teaspoonful of the water from the cup just once daily.

I am taking remedy once a day now. My asthma was so bad that doctor has no other option but to put me on oral steroids. I was on inhalers for almost 10 years now. I did not take any since I took the first dose as improvement was so substantial that now I don’t feel the need to use one.

It is so rarely that a patient uses a remedy that I have prescribed and decides to record on this forum how it has helped him. My experience is that if there is any problem the patient usually posts requesting immediate assistance but when his problem is helped and in some cases cured, I do not hear from him any more. This is a pity as I too would like to share the joy of the patient in suddenly discovering that he is cured, in your case after 10 long years when you obviously had to use many drugs and inhalers to enable you to breathe.

Thank you for recording your current improvement from Asthma and it is very likely that you will be able to change over to the Split Dose any time you wish to do so. This is done by mixing a teaspoonful of the Nat Sulph into half cup of water from which a teaspoonful is sipped. You will realize that this makes the actual presence of the remedy to be nebulous but you will discover that it works equally well and what is more it will ensure a permanent cure by weaning youself from dependence on any remedy. About a month after you change to the Split dose which you will still take on a daily basis, you may change over to alternate days and you will still discover that your Asthma is held at bay. 3 months on the Split Dose on alternate days and you are cured and can then stop the therapy.

I do wish that those who have been critical of my own methods of cure will read this thread to satisfy themselves that cures are still possible even though prescribed by me without adhering to the classical routine adopted in homeopathy which in any case would not have resulted in Nat Sulph being identified to cure your Asthma.

I would like you to keep a vial of Ars Alb 200 pellets which you can use if and when necessary in the event of your getting an attack which is unlikely but which can be precipitated by an infection like a cold or a cough. The dose is 4 pellets taken sublingually. The airway is usually opened in about 15 minutes.

Please continue to post your response from time to time on the ABC

I will move to a split dose from tomorrow and will keep updating you on weekly basis. I want to add to what you have said about your approach of treating patients. I have been to few homeopaths before and was quite disappointed as nothing has worked. I don’t know what approach is right or wrong, but I know one thing; I can breathe properly after following your approach. The bottom line is success in treating a patient the rest of the discussion is meaningless.

Joe,

Just want to update you on my asthma recovery using your remedy. I have been taking Nat Sulp in wet/split does from the last ten days. It seems that my asthma is getting better as days progress. The biggest improvement is in my voice. I used to lose my voice in dump places such as offices and libraries. My voice is perfectly normal now. Initially, I had taken Ars Alb 200 for few days but now from the last three days my chest is very clear. I have noticed that Net Sulp works even better when I take in late evenings with empty stomach (at least 4-5 hours after lunch).

I take half tablet of tenormin every day for blood pressure. Could you please suggest any medicine to get rid of tenormin?

Thanks

To Asadkayani

Glad to note that you are getting over your Asthma which you have suffered from for the last 10 years.

I presume that you are taking just 1 teaspoonful of the remedy after shaking the bottle at least 10 times.

It usually takes about 6 months to be cured of Asthma but this has been the record that patients have reported. During this period it is important that you try to stay off colds and you can add to your immunity by taking 4 pellets of Tuberculinum 200. This must not be repeated for about a month and only used as necessary.

Arnica 30c in the wet dose is the remedy that I have used for many patients who have Hypertension and I have added Cinnamon powder for those who suffer from Diabetes and they have invariably reported that they do not need to use the drugs prescribed for both Hypertension and Diabetes as long as they keep on with the Arnica 30c.

You can start on the Arnica therapy and check your BP in a week and report response.

One other point is that you are expected to exercise regularly if possible daily to keep yourself in trim which is also part of the therapy to rid yourself of the Asthma for good.

Mr. Joe
Should Cinnamon powder be added into one teaspoon of wet dose of Arnica 30.

I was about to reply to the patient Asadkayani when I realized that you were a new patient wanting advice. It is always preferable that you post your problem on a separate thread as otherwise I can be mislead into giving you the wrong advice.

Please let me know the reason why you wish to use Cinnamon powder with Arnica.

Do you suffer from Asthma or Diabetes ?

Dear Joe

I am glad your prescription helped a patient.

The key to the success of Nat.Sulph is mentioned by the patient him/herself.

Quote

'I used to lose my voice in dump places such as offices and libraries.'

Obviously she meant 'in damp places.'

I told you previously that Nat.sulph is the most frequently indicated medicine for asthma, aggravation damp places.

If you care to dig deep into the posts of those who said your Nat.sulph helped them, you will obviously find this modality in them.

Your split dose recommendation of late, is one reason, why people are able to tolerate repetetion.

I again repeat Nat.sulph is not the only medicine for Ashtma. It is one of them.

If the asthma is completely relieved by Nat.sulph, it is beter to stop the medicine, and wait.

You can repeat the medicine by upping the potency slightly.

However, if Asthma has subsided and the patient is getting new troublesome symptoms, it is necessary to pause and re think.

I am glad that you have decided to spend more time on the ABC as up to a few days ago, I was carrying the majority of the load on my shoulders and I would sometimes have to stay up past midnight to try to help those who post asking for help.

I have used Nat Sulph 6c in the wet dose and have been able to CURE a few patients especially a 22 year old girl who was a chronic Asthmatic from babyhood and up to the time she saw me was using a Ventolin Inhaler about 5 times daily and would finish one in a month. An inhaler she informed me, was good for 250 puffs. The inhaler was to her, a way of life and if she even had to walk fast or climb a stair she took a puff ! I felt that her lifespan would be considerably shortened at the rate she was going. She responded to the NS therapy almost immediately and in about a month during which time she was taking a teaspoonful from the bottle, I changed her over to the split dose when she diluted a tsp in a cup of water and sipped a tsp from it. In about 6 months she reported that she felt better and I then asked her to take it on alternate days and in about a year she stopped it and has never looked back.

You may like to know that she did not complain of any aggravation with damp conditions as the patient above has indicated. In her case she was a confirmed chronic asthmatic and asthma and the Ventolin inhaler were a way of life.

I have followed up some patients whom I treated who cared to post their condition and as far as I remember none reported any aggravation with damp but it was more dust and cold weather and various foods that seemed to bring on the wheeze.

I do agree that Nat Sulph is not the only remedy to help Asthma. From my notes I find that I have used Blatta Orientalis, Grindelia, Lobelia inflata, Passiflora, Pothos, and Senega depending on how the patient responds. The latter remedies I use after consulting my Radar depending on the case.

You will observe that I have refused to use the classical case taking method which as you realize is just not possible on a forum such as this but still have had a high record of success in helping those who post their problems on this and other forums that I visit daily, except of course your Hpathy.com and Otherhealth for obvious reasons. I prefer to use my own brand of therapy as I am convinced that it has always helped in spite of the recent unpleasantness caused by a new member who delighted in creating some unrest on the ABC.

It is not the method used, classical or otherwise that matters but it is more the dedication of the prescriber and the record of successful cures which to me make the time I spend on these forums satisfying.

This cannot be determind as actual CURE without long term follow up, with proper observation of any further complaints. If it HAS cured, then it is because this ONE patient was in need of this ONE particular remedy, which is NOT the case for all cases of asthma.

Joe,

I have noticed that taking steam has an adverse effect on my asthma. I feel congestion in my chest and it takes few hours before I get back to normal.

Should I continue taking steam?

asadkayani last decade
Dear Asadkayani

Your getting benefitted by Nat.sulph, initially at least, is an indication that you are very likely to be aggravated by dampness and humidity.

Steam is 100% humidity, and hence detrimental to you.

Please stop it immediately.

How are you feeling overall?

How is your asthma in general?

Are you still continuing Nat.sulph?

Murthy,

My asthma was fine before I took steam. Now I am feeling some congestion in my chest.

I am taking split dose of Nat Sulp.

asadkayani last decade
You must stop taking steam.

Keep reporting progress at least once in a week.

All the best.

I agree with Murthy that you must stop using steam as it aggravates your Asthma.

You reported that your Asthma was fine before the steam and that you are taking Nat Sulph 6c in the split dose. If this has helped your asthma you can continue with the split dose and report your response in a week. I presume that you have the Ars Alb 200 which you can take in the event of an attack.

For how long have you used the NS for your Asthma ?

Joe De Livera last decade
I have used NS for over a month now.

You are advised to stagger your split dose of Nat Sulph and take it only every other day as I believe that you are on the road to recovery.

Joe / Murthy

Thanks to both of you.

I have stopped inhaling steam and got better in few days. However, during the last week I did few experiments with nat sulphur to explore further its impact on my asthma. Surprising, nat sulphur only works on me if taken in wet dose and otherwise in a normal dose aggravates my asthma. I don’t know what it means. After few days of experimentation, I took wet dose again and next day found my asthma symptoms disappeared.

Why nat sulphur only works on me in wet dose and aggravates my asthma symptoms if taken in 6X or 6C potencies?

asadkayani last decade
The repetetion of a dry dose, as long as the medicine is acting is contra indicated, as it will spoil the action of the previous dose.

However, if you rise the potency slightly, before taking another dose, the medicine can be repeated with advantage.

The split dose method, helps to increase the potency slightly, before taking a fresh dose.

Don't call it a wet dose. The correct term is 'split dose.'

I would be interested to know what your lung function tests were before and after taking the remedy. Do you have that information?
