Spinal compression

Hi, I had a hard fall and landed on my butt and couldn't even get up for a while. There was pain in the back for a week and now I have started noticing pain in my left arm and weakness in my legs. I believe there has been soft tissue damage and severe compression of the spine. I have been taking IBUProfen but would like to pursue homeopathic treatment as well. Please advise. Thx

I did not have the medicine you suggested and continued Rhus Tox 200 from yesterday. The pain is minimal, however there is weakness in my left arm and continuous mild pain at the base of the skull in the back. Please suggest something.

Any alternate suggestions? Can't find Manganum aceticum.

For injury due to any fall...Arnica.

If there is a punctured wound..also take Ledum.

If injury is at a place where there is a cluster of small nerves ....like fingers/toes/eye etc. take Hypericum.

I believe Hypericum should help. Can you suggest dosage and if it should/could be used with Rhus Tox.

Hypericum 200 thrice daily for a few days.

I have tried Hypericum 200 now for two days and the pain/weakness/numbness is reduced in the hand and legs. However, I now have some pain around the base of skull or top of my neck. Any suggestions, changes to the medicine or potency?
Also, how long should I take Hypericum?

I have recently noted that I get headaches after I take hypericum.
Would you suggest anything else?

straylight121 last decade
just stop the medicine and observe for 3 more days and post back the symptoms.

Did you took arnica with Hypericum?

maheeru last decade
No just took Hypericum 200. I have also noted hair loss with it. How to stop the hair loss? Pls suggest.

Let us see what Pankaj suggests.

Hair fall could be after-effect of ibu-profen, I may be wrong.
Do you continue taking ibu-profen? You ve only taken hypericum 6 doses distributed over 2 days am I right?

maheeru last decade
I took Ibuprofen for a week and took 8 doses of hypericum over three days.

straylight121 last decade
I did not take both simultaneously. I discontinued Ibuprofen last week.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions. I stopped hypericum and am taking Rhus Tox 200 once for the last two days. I still have pain in the hand and occaisionally in my head.

Thx

you can take Arnica 200 dry and Hypericum 200(wet dose to avoid aggr.). thrice a day.

Do you see any visible relief from rhus?

Let us see what Pankaj varma suggests.

maheeru last decade
I have started with Arnica 30, thrice a day. Regarding Rhus Tox 200, it is difficult to say because the pain comes and goes. Will update after effects from Arnica 30.

Could you please advice on the case based on the progress. Would you recommend something else.

You obviously have suffered from some damage to your spine and it is possible that there is some damage to a disc.

Recovery from this damage will take some time but you will have to persist with the therapy to ensure that you are cured in a few months.

The remedies that can help you are Arnica 30c to help the damage to the disc. Recovery will be long but you must persist with the remedy. Dose 1 teaspoonful 3 times daily.

Hypericum 200c for the pain taken every 4 hours or more often depending on the intensity. Dose 1 teaspoonful 4-5 times daily.

Both remedies are best taken in the wet dose which is made up as follows:

Get a 500ml bottle of spring water and insert 3 pellets of the remedy. Shake the bottle hard every time before you sip a teaspoonful of the water which is now the remedy as indicated above.

Thanks Dr Livera,

I have had relief from pain in the arms with Arnica, however, I still get a headache, it was milder than before - I guess due to the wet dose format. What should I do? My hand starts paining, when I lift something. Is this medication temporary? Would I need something to make it permanent?

straylight121 last decade
Dear Straylight did you take any test to rule out serious cause.

Actually any medication should be administered only till the problem goes.

going for an MRI on Sunday, will post the results.

straylight121 last decade
Got the results! Good news is that the result was normal. However, the bad news is that the pain continues in the neck, middle back and left hand - actually alternates between the left and right. I have been taking Arnica 30 in wet dose as suggested by Dr Livera twice daily, but have started the dry dose as well once a day. Please tell me what to do at this stage. Has been a three weeks now. Sometimes it gets worse after physio therapy, so I don't feel like going there.
