The ABC Homeopathy Forum

a few probs - help please

my daughter has a very sensative nose. As soon as it gets cold or she decide to clean out her clothes draw, or even if she don't get enough sleep, her nose seems to get very running and a clear runny liquid comes out and she sneezes rather a lot. This causes her eyes to dry up and also the top of her lip becomes very sore because of the runny (snot) liquid toughing it, it becaomes red and looks as if she have clown lips and feels very dry. she gets a lot of headaches because of this and also my nose feels very sensative as if it were sore or bruised right in the middle.

she have also been told she has a weak immune system.

she used to have very thick hair and now it falls out rather a lot, but she have a lot of facial hair and a lot of hair on other parts of my body such as her stomach and in pubic areas, in some places there are 3 or 4 hairs coming out of one root.

she is also finding it very difficult to lose weight. she has been eating healthy and going to the gym regularly for 2 months and haven't lost a pound. she needs to loose 30 punds. Could any of these problems have anything to do with each-other?

she is 22 years old.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
this could be an ongoing sinus problem with the nose. Can you describe the headaches very accurately (where they start, where the pain is and goes to, how long it lasts, when etc.)
has she had a thyroid function test?

hi, thanks for your reply.

She said the headaches tend to stay on the right side of head, it feels like somebody is pinching a nerve and that this causes her head to feel very heavy. Often the pain dos not even go away when she is sleeping, she is asleep but she can feel somebody pinching something on the right side of her head. Her eyes also feel very heavy, like she is always sleepy.

She has had a thyroid function test, everything seems to be normal.

many thanks again.

there is no specific pattern from when the headaches come, they do however tend to last between 2-3 days.

make sure she is drinking enough water and eating enough fruit/veg., reduce or stop any fizzy drinks.
For a remedy you will need to give a lot more symptoms about her as a person, her likes and dislikes, her periods, whether or not on the contraceptive pill/coil? when she put on weight etc.
If I do not manage to read all your info some other good advisor on the forum will be able to help with more info from you.
in the meantime, morning and evening, she should fill a bowl with boiling water and then breathe in the steam with face over the bowl tilting the head forwards to allow the nose to drip (take care not to scald the skin from the hot steam, not put the face too close for too long). this will help to clear the sinuses and reduce the sensitivity. You do not need to add any oils to the water as these can overexcite the nose.
