Extremely Depressed. Please HELP!!!!
I am 45 years old. I have been suffering from severe depression and anxiety for the last 10 years or so.Earlier, I used to have depression in phases. I was once daignosed as having BIPOLAR Depression and was prescribed Anti depressants for about a year.I am now also having High BP for the last 5 years. I am taking allopathic medicines for this.
However, I still continue to suffer from severe depression and anxiety. These days I feel that my Head is carruing tons of load. My eyes are also severely strained. I find it hard to concentrate and recall things. I am not able to read or write with concentration.
I have taken several Homeopathic medicines in the recent past. Arg. Nit 200 (4 doses). Last month I took carcinosin 200 (single dose).
I shall be glad if someone could help me find a way out of this darkness. I am feeling helpless and down in the dumps.

Thanks for your response. I shall now give details about the effect the previus remedies had on my Depression. Initially, I had two doses of Arg. Nit 200 on two consecutive days.The medicine had a very positive effect and I was near normal for the next 15 days. After that, I one again had a relapse and was under constant phase of Depression and Anxiety. As a result of this, even my BP remained constamtly high. After that I was given Carcinosin 200 (single dose). After that, my problems got aggravated and I have not been my usual self sine then. I am still having the problems of Depression, Loss of interest in work, lack of concentration, Loss of memory and Anxiety. I feel like staying alone all the time.
Please analyse my case and suggest a suitable remedy which can help me lead a normal life.

Hello. I also have the same problem. I was diagnosed with major Depression and Bi-polar. There is a new Patch that is out that I have been on for a week. It really has seemed to help where others failed. It's called Emsam. Contact your doctor and see if you can get samples. It has little to no side effect. You wear it 24 hours.

I can tell you that the active ingredient is Seleginine. It is distributed by Bristol-Myers Squibb Company. It was released for use in Febuary 2006. It is a skin patch (transdermal system) used to treat major depression. The skin patch delivers the medicine through your skin and into your bloodstream. Emsam contains a medicine called a monoamine oxidase inhibitor, also called a MAOI. Please Look it up. I think it could be a major help to you. Good Luck. As far as getting it in India, I couldn't tell you, and for the price, I got samples from my Doctor, so When I actually get my script, I will post another reply on the cost. That is on Oct 31st.

Thanks Dr. Pankaj Varma. Normally by late evening I feel heaviness in the head and strained eyes. I also feel tightness around my chest and I just feel like lyind down with my eyes closed. It is nearly impossible to do any mental work during that time. The sleep is also disturbed and I do not wake up fresh.
