The ABC Homeopathy Forum

New feature

The profiles will now show their IP address relationships with other users. (i.e. if it seems likely that somebody is creating many IDs).

But it is just an IP address relationship. If somebody goes to the internet cafe round the corner to create multiple IDs, we won't know.

To protect privacy, we will not actually show the IP addresses of any users on the forum.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Simon,

at last, about time. is it not complete. I can't see my I.P. address on my profile.

Though, there are easy ways to around creating multiple I.D. sitting at the same I.P.

A Tentative way is to display the I.P., instantly on each & every post made, near the name of the poster. This will route out some nuisance that some members created over here.

Hi Nesha,

It doesn't show the actual IP (privacy reasons), but shows users sharing any of the IP addresses that a particular user has posted under previously (since last Friday).

dear Simon

Nesha is right.

Most of the ISPs assign dynamic IP addresses, and we can change our IP address by a simple command.

For obvious reasons, I don't want to tell about it here.

Anyway, it is a good start.
