The ABC Homeopathy Forum

4 years Child has Development Delay

We have a 4 year old son and he is delay in speech and development delay in social skills and communication.

He is potty trained and he says when he wants to go to potty....he started talking with single word...
Has repetative behaviour.

He has good memory...remember things and recognize places and persons.

Does not cycle yet...but does all the physical activities easily like jumping, climbing , playing balls etc.
He never had any health problems.

My wife had a normal and full term delivery...

We are sending him to a county school to attend the program in school for development delay / speech therapy.
School teachers are working on him for the last two months ...this school also gives him speech therapy.

We wish we could hear him chat to us and say his friends names and tell us what happened in school.

Eats with the spoon well.

Has good eye contact somtimes mostly with us (family) but with others little eye contact

If he needs something he try to get it by himself ..and if cannot get by himself then says with a single word

Sings the songs with the correct tune and recognize the song by listening the music.

Wants to play with one object....(This is the soft sign of autism)

We are very much worried....
Please help us and guide us what to do.

Thanks.

Parents.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
for understanding the reasons of autism, we need to know the following

the story has to start from the time mother had conceived.

- did u suffer from any trauma during pregnancy.

- was his father a late learner as well.

- was his childhood normal

- did he experience any emotional or physical shocks during his childhood.

- describe his body structure

- is his head bigger than normal

- is his chest narrow

- does he suffer from cold n cough often.

- is he shy of strangers, you said he has little eye contact with others.

- what r his cravings and aversions in food.

- have u noticed him chewing pencil ends, chalks or pieces of wood ever.

- do the parents talk less at home comparitively.

Another important question is vaccinations.Has he received all the vaccines?Did you notice any significant problems (physical or mental) after any particular vaccine?

Thanks for all your replies:

Below are the answers to your questions:
- did u suffer from any trauma during pregnancy.

No, it was normal, full term delivery
- was his father a late learner as well.
No he was not

- was his childhood normal

Yes he was normal, he started walking in 12-14 months.

- did he experience any emotional or physical shocks during his childhood.

No

- describe his body structure

He looks normal according to his age
- is his head bigger than normal
No, he has normal size head

- is his chest narrow
No

- does he suffer from cold n cough often.
No

- is he shy of strangers, you said he has little eye contact with others.

He is little shy...but smiles to the stangers...He is not attentive when somebody talks to him...wants to play by himself..litle bit hyperactive

- what r his cravings and aversions in food.
He likes junk food like chips, cookies, juice etc...SOmetimes when he is really hungry want to eat meal like bread, rice, pasta etc.

- have u noticed him chewing pencil ends, chalks or pieces of wood ever.
No

- do the parents talk less at home comparitively.
We do talk ..also he has a elder sister 7 years old and she also talks lot.

He is a happy boy...always his mood is cheerful.
SOmetimes he is stubborn...get irritated when we do not listen to him . When he gets irritated then says irrelevant words...Like if he wants to go out and we don't allow him then he cries and says irrelevant words (not conected to the subject)...we think he says these irrelevant words because he does not know what to say.
He is weak in communication...He don't understand everything what we say...but understands things which are related to him.
We see slow improvement in him , 2 year back he was not even gesturing...but later he started doing gestures and use to pull us if he need anything and points his fingure..., after that he started saying single words (but not all).does not know words like More, less, small, big etc...,
After 3 years he got potty trained in short time and says when he need to go .
But still he cannot communicate with us fully..., He never say what happened yesterday or few hours back .
We want him to tell what happened in school.

We see very slow improvement in communication and learning words.
He received all the vaccines..we don't find any problems after the vacine ..or may be did not notice much.

He sings song in a correct tune but few words are clear not all.

We are worried..please help.

I have gone through the details.

I suggest u give him one dose of Calcarea Carb 1M and wait and watch the results.
A single dose of calcarea carb works for 30 days. After that u can reply.

Thanks for your response.
I will give him the dose.

Do you want him to give every day a single dose for 30 days or just give one dose only and wait for 30 days?

From where we can get this Calcarea Carb 1M? Is that a complete name of this medicine?

Thanks and we appreciate for your help.

Hello,

I haven't tried homeopathie with my son yet but i know that a lot of people had great results. I just need to find the right treatment.

I will for sure let you know if anything works.

Don't worry about the cycling, it will come.

This is for sure due to the shots.

I know this is not easy at all when you see kids his age. I live with it everyday.

There is hope...

Rishimba / Pradipde,
Thanks for your prompt reply.

I Looked at the ABC Homeopathic to buy CALCAREA CARBONICA 1M but it is in Liquid dilution as well as in Granules.
I want to make sure from you which one is better?
For us Liquid Dilution is easier to give him. Please let me know.

ALso, How much is the single dose,..I mean what quantity we need to give to our son which is 1 dose? (i.e 1 dose = ? quantity) and how to give the dose ?
Is there any restrictions in diet?
I am sorry for bothering you for these type of questions but I just want to make sure I am giving him correct amount of dose. Moreover, I am new to Homeopathic medicine.

Please respond so that I can start the medication asap.

Once Thanks for your help.
