Antimonium tart for baby with rattling chest congestion
Hi,My 4 month old has been suffering from rattling chest congestion almost since birth. There has been a few weeks off and on where he has been okay, but for the most part he sounds like a little motor. Surprisingly, he is generally in very good spirits, always smiling, happy and a fantastic sleeper. However, for the last week he seems overly tired and gets quite irriated and distressed when he is drowsy. His cough seems particulary troublesome in the hours between 4am and 8am. Every now and again he will vomit after drinking due to all the mucous and it is a stringy-like vomit. His cheeks have also been very flushed at times. I was reading up on homeopathic remedies and wanted to get someones else opinion on using Antimonium tart for him. Any info would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you in advance.

Are you living in a cold country?
Is he vomiting out milk as soon as he takes the feed?
Is he vomiting out water ?? How much time after intake?
Anything else you want to tell me about him.

No, no pneumonia that we know of.
We live in the US on the east coast. Temps have ranged from 50F to 70F in the last few weeks.
He only vomits maybe once every other day right after feeding. This is usually in the morning.
He does not drink any water
I was using a warm mist vaporizer in his room, but did not use it last night and his cough is more croupy. He is sneezing more today too.
He really is such a joyful child, that it's hard to know how much this is really bothering him. His chest is quite rattly though so this particulary troubles me.

Normally ...in such situations Pulsatilla is of help.
Specially if the child feels better in open air....compared to closed rooms.
Another possibility is Nux Vomica....they have difficulty remaining asleep from 3 a.m. to 7 a.m.

Glycerhizza Glabra Mother tincture : 20 drops in half cup water or milk for 3 days, 4 times a day will clear your childs chest.
Then afterwards bacillinum/tuberculinum will be required to consolidate the cure. Depending upon your childs constitution.

You should read my line carefully: I have not told them to take baccillinum or tuberculinum.
I have suggested any one will be required depending upon constitution, to consolidate the cure.
And to find out constitutional remedy detailed case taking is required.

I had stringy 'white ribbon' vomit as an infant and could not keep down mother' milk, Infamil, goat, or anything. They put me on 2% cow milk but I have always had difficulty with dairy since birth. Now (I'm over 35) I've learned I have milk and gluten allergies (not intolerance but a milder form of 'allergy') and must omit them from my diet. You perhaps might have some luck speaking with a physician/allergist who is CURRENT on these 'allergies.'

my friend has a nine month old baby at home who is under weight and has severe chest congestion with fever and runny nose, no wheezing.....since it i will have to wait till morning to take her to the hospital i wanted t know which homeopathic remedy would help....i have these at home ....nux vom 30, arnica 30, rhus tox 200, rhus tox 30, Calcarea Carb 30, belladonna 1m,bel 30,hepar sulph 30, for any other i can only get in the morning....
