Acute asymmtery of face

Dear friends:

I am quite frustrated as I developed slightly asymmetry of face with slight sunken appearance on the left side for this reason I left my computer for last three days but that is a routine of my life and cannot enjoy life without that. It does not seem Bell’s Palsy as sensation is preserved. I feel only some warmness while focusing on that side for sometime. I noticed this on Saturday morning and prior to that I had a oral ulcer on left side oral cavity near lip, which was quite painful, which is now resolving. As per my knowledge there may be no known diagnosis of it. I am quite worried about this despite being a physician and as started again computer work. I have tried Gels 30 (3 dose), Nux Vomica 30 (single dose) Sulfur 30 (single dose) and at present I am taking Ruta 30 as indicated for computer operator’s troubles.

If you have any idea or information please post it.

Dear saroj

How did you respond to Nux?

Have you checked whether the oral cavity and this asymmetry is linked?

Is there a chance that cold or chilliness may have contributed to this asymmetry.

If its palsy, most of the times it resolves itself without treatment although it may take 6 to 12 months.

P.S: Also refer remedies like Cad. sulph. which may resolve troubles in left side of face.

Hi, i resumed working on internet after a month and regarding my asymmtery i think it was idiopathic or due to some skin issues taking place on that side not from Bell palsy or any other neurological disease but i refrained myself from computer for precaution. At present i did hardly notice any asymetry and i do not notice any changes after taking single dose of Nux and sulphur. At present i had some dried skin eruption for last three days after some facial massage work, for which i am taking nothing but thinking also that it may be releated to any condiation causing slight asymtery of my face.

Hi friends:

I finally got the cause of my asymmetery, it was due to a dental abscess that was not painful and slower in progress. So friends in any case of asymmetery of face we should think about dental abscess which can represent without any toothache that i learn from my own case
