The ABC Homeopathy Forum

why to follow guidelines?

The misconception that homeopathic medicines can't suppress, can't harm, irrespective of the method of administration, selection of potency, mixing them, giving them one after the other without gap, etc, stem from taking a too materialistic view that there is practically no medicine in them, that, even at 3X, there are only a few molecules.

All of us agree that they are capable of fantastic cures with a single dose,if the remedy selected is the correct similimum.

If you just pause and think back, it stands to logic that such powerful medicines (irrespective of the theories regarding how to derive that power), can do harm also, if prescribed without caution.

Keeping this in mind the administration methods are evolved so as to cause the least damage, even if a mistake is made in the remedy selection.

Similar remedy..

Single remedy..

minimum dose..

helps the homeopathic physician to correct quickly, in case he makes mistakes.

All first prescriptions can't be the similimums, for obvious reasons like inadequate data, non availability of enough symptoms, lack of experience on the part of prescribers..etc..etc..

So, it is better to proceed cautiously, and observe for response, after a few days.

That is why quickly changing medicines, are frowned at in chronic cases.

Prescriptions like, take 1M of 'x' medicine today, and take 30c of 'Y' medicine from the next day onwards are fraught with the danger of spoiling the case.

We will find many cases progressing beautifully on a single medicine, one at a time therapy, getting totally spoiled after these hasty prescriptions.

You can see many examples of this happening on this forum itself.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Dear Murthy are you implying that any medicine in the world that do not follow these rules, is not good. Must be violently opposed and banned.

I wrote the above post in plain English.

Most of the deep acting medicines have a duration of action of around 3 weeks, minimum.

it is not wise to disturb its action, immediately, the next day or day after.

That is why, the three weeks minimum time is set,to review the case for non serious, chronic problems.

By establishing yourself as a Vigilantee and Constable you started living in a huge glass house.

Then you went out to break other people's tiny windows.

Gavini I will let this goat grow fat for the big day.

This thread.

I will visit here after some days. We will share some memories.

the situation is different for acute cases.

Here, the well selected remedy has to be repeated frequently, as the action of the medicine is exhausted quickly, due to the intensity of the acute problem.

However, once the improvement sets in, the gap is increased, the medicine is given less frequently, and finally stopped.

the guide line for acute cases is not to go beyond six doses. If the medicine is capable of establishing a reaction, it will do so, within those six doses.

In case, the situation remains as it is, you have to retake the case, and look for a different medicine.

We should not loose time, in acute cases, and should not keep on repeating a medicine endlessly, with the hope that reaction will occur a bit late.

My most humble request to the learned participants :

When ever the discussion is on basic concepts of homeopathy, let each one of us give the reference from Aphorirsms of Organon, supporting his or her view points.

Fine.
Pick up some fresh cases here and apply these guidelines. Guide some people here with those guidelines to the right med(s) and cure.

Those who get cured ...will be ever grateful to you.

Better than.... battling with people who have been doing good work here.

Dear Pankaj,
You are all doing a good work, that is the reason of my paticipation. I made my request in case of discussion on concepts, pertaining to the philosophy of homeopathy.

Treating the patient is an application,& many of you are doing very good job. Normally I had never made any comments on prescriptions. Each one of the participants fully authorize to cure & give relief to patient.
I will participate only when it comes to the fundamentals of homeopathy. My discussions are only confined to the people who knows homeopathy, rest of the job , all of you are doing here & I am doing it in my clinic.

Dear Gavini, any information is welcome and thanks is always due but fear is that you are not bringing any information here but writing up the Constabulary-Rules-of-Conducts.

The purpose of your thread is always: FOLLOW MY BELIEFS. Or you will keep clanging your batton at the thread.

If this is really for information, accept my heartly thanks.

Dear sbahl

Giving reference from Organon can be done, but, it will be too much work.

Certain concepts are universally accepted, and as such need no reference.

If you feel,or anybody else feel, that a particular point I make need corroboration, please free to ask.

I shall be happy to provide the reference/elaborate.

Dear Pankaj

I have been treating people on these principles. My success rate is around 80%.I started prescribing here on ABC too. Just see my profile, to know about the cases I am treating.

Dear Kuldeep

I will keep addressing the patients, in case I feel they are in danger. You can try to reassure them, and make them follow your path.

Dear Gavini, some times I feel I am right and other is wrong but a voice inside me says: Yes No or May be.
Many times I find myself wrong. Its upto you. It is easier to work with friends and working with enemies is just wasting of life.

You should read Dale Carnagee's books instead of reading and rewriting homeopahty books here.

I read his books.

'How to win friends and influence people'

You are lacking the skill to make a point and a friend. Look into it.

I have lot of friends already.

I don't need your advices.

I know what to do, and what not to do.

Go and convince the patients to fall for you and your friend's baits.
