Lichen sclerosis

I just found this site. I've had LS for about 4 years since I was diagnosed, I probably had it longer and didn't realize it. I've been using Protopic for about 1 year. It seemed to subside the itch, but now I'm always raw, maybe my body is amune to it, I don't know. Does anyone out there have a good DR. in the NYC area that specializes in LS. I keep looking and I can't find one. Im going to try this Renova that people are posting on this site. I'm loosing hope. I cant even think of enjoying a relationship with my husband.

hi, my 4 year old daughter has had LS for about a year - poor little thing was in agony on the toilet & suffered terrible itching. she still itches but the pain seems to have gone. she is currently taking natrum arsenicum & i use msm cream with colloidal silver in it. i am intrigued by the beta glucan but a bit confused...if it is an autoimmune disease, should she be taking something that boosts the immune system or won't that just make it worse?

I posted a day or two ago that my 4 year old daughter was just diagnosed with licen sclerosis on Monday. Where did you find the msm cream with colloidal silver and where did you frins natrum arsenium? Also, how do you know what amounts to give your daughter? Are these pediatric formulas? I look forward to your reply. My daughter has been in pain nearly her entire life. I want her well! Thank you in advance.

hi marion, sorry to hear your 4yr old has it too - its such a nightmare...i got the msm cream from a company called resonance distribution. i used to work for them but they have a website where you can order from - can't remember the exact address but if you google resonance you'll find them. my homeopath prescribed the natrum arsenicum. it must be personal to my little girl so i don't know if it would work for yours - you need to see a homeopath yourself. i also found out about a medical herbalist who knew about LS - he was in exeter - i don't know if this is anywhere near you but you may want to explore that....

I was diagnosed with LS 2yrs ago,at the age of 76, the steroid cream didn't do much good so I stopped using it after a few months. I had narrowing of the vulva and the usual LS symptoms.I started to use a good old fashioned remedy for skin problems...honey...It's taken a while but a recent biopsy showed only dermatitis, and I have no more itching or discomfort.I used the honey I had in the cupboard at the time which was lavender but I'm sure any other would work just as well, I do hope this can help
