Constipation
My son is going through a very stubborn constipation from last one month. His face specially forehead has lots of small rashes.I think he was overdosed by nat mur which i stopped 1 month back. Please let me know is it because of overdosing?If yes ...can Nux Vom can neutralise the effect and solve the constipation problem? Thanks!

Hi Jacob,
Thanks for asking! He took 200 c for every alternate day continued for 2 weeks. which is recommended by some friend. After that he developed mouth blisters and constipation. Please ask if you want to know anything else.

He eats milk free and yeast free diet. We also avoid suger as he has autism. Otherwise he eats all other normal food. I always give him lots of vegetables as fiber.

Yes,the Nat Mur was prescribed for autism. I don't think it helped very clearly .. and adviced that as it is chronic he may need 1M. I'm thinking of giving him next week.
Nat mur was given basically for shrieking(both for happyness and irritability), dwelling in past (mostly happy ...sometime sad also)and food cravings.

Hmm, well I must admit, I was inclined to recommend one further dose to see if this clears up the rash, as we obviously we cannot be 100% clear if the remedy has acted curatively and brought things to the surface, or is mereley a proving. Has this 'shrieking', dwelling in the past and food craving subsided at all?

Food craving specialy for soda, bread, coffee has increased little more which he had already before. dwelling in past is main part of autism which has not changed much ...but little bit now a days noticing the present and talking about it (but rarely )... that's why said i'm not very clear. Shreiking has not changed much.

Hmm, well there has not been much improvement in most of the symptoms, but there is at least some improvement in his talking about things, which of course is quite something in an Autistic child. I had no idea dwelling in the past was a feature of Autism, as I have never had this symptom presented by any parents of Autistic children before...interesting.
I am inclined to agree, give just one more dose, 1M. It MAY prove to be of more benefit than the 200, it may not, but either way the response will at least be interesting to observe, and this can be antidoted just as easily as the previous potency if need be.

Good news is that his constipation problem has come down now!!
Yes ... i hope higher potency will show some good result.

Good news indeed, and this would depend on the symptoms. First of all you would need to make sure this is not just aggarvation. If such symptoms remain after some time though, antidotes can be given. Post here if this is the case, and I will be happy to advise you :)

Thank you so much jacob .. that you want to help me. I will definetly post his status after giving him nat Mur 1 M. I have ordered it and actually expecting the medicine to come by monday or tuesday this week. After that i post you and let you know his status.

Hello Dipika,
I have also experienced the same after giving NAT MUR 1M to my elder son. He was seriously constipated but I gave him clone care to get rid of it. I did not realize that it is the side effects of NAT MUR! Now I realized that it is NAT MUR.
Unfortunately, NAT MUR did not help my son in terms of autism. Yesterday, I have started using Cal Carb.

There are no side effects in Homoeopathy, just proving symptoms from a poorly selected drug, or the return of old symptoms, and no two cases are the same, even when the condition may have the same name.
Continue with the Nat Mur Dipika, and if this does not improve the condition, or aggravates it further, then we will antidote, but at least we will then know the Nat Mur has reached the end of any possible benefit for your son, and that he was indeed proving it from the outset, but this MAY not be the case at all, and we cannot abandon remedies while a reaction has been noted.

My son's problem is coming back again. Now a days he only goes to toilet if we use glycerin suppositories for his rectum. His stool is not hard though. Today i gave after three days he did'nt go .. he does'nt show to be effected by his constipation problem. His behaviour is normal. As a mother i'm just worried.
If you think i still should give nat mur 1 M... i will give him today.

yes ...he was vaccinated long time back ... i don't remember much ... some of them developed some temporary fever .. which was told normal. otherwise i did'nt find any problem.

Hmm, it may be worth trying Silicea at some point, which would certainly fit the case, but continue as planned, and we will review the case after the Nat Mur.
