Is peppermint oil bad with Homeopathy?

Hello,

I'm a IBS sufferer. I recently started with an Homeopathic remedy, so far seems like its changing something within me.

The thing is that I was advised not to take peppermint while I take the homeopathy. Honestly, for almost a year now the only think that has given me some relief are the enteric coated peppermint oil capsules, so its hard to give them up.

I did some research on Internet and the mint thing seems to be controversial, some say it hurts, some say it doesn't.

Anybody has any experience or information on this.

Many thanks in advance.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
If you're under homeopathic treatment - certainly classical treatment - you are advised not to take any other meds incl. complementary meds like herbs and ess. oils so for this reason you should maybe cut out the capsules - otherwise how do you guage whether it's the remedy helping or still the peppermint?

Homeopaths are cautious over partcular substances like coffee, camphor, euchalyptus and peppermint because of their potency and potential to antidote the remedy. Homeopathy is a subtle system of medicine - works on energetic level.

But to answer your question - depends on the remedy you're taking and your own individual response to it. Coffee and Camphor are (i think) pretty big no no's , Peppermint especially not if you are taking Nat Mur.

What remedy is it?

Are there any safe mouthwashes with Nat. Mur? How about tea tree oil?
