child's severe reaction to dog lick
I have posted several times about my son who recovered from really bad eczema though holistic means, including homeopathy. and have mentioned that we still have him on a restricted diet and how he still gets some hives when wet. Well alst night a dog licked my son on the cheek, just below the eye. with one half our, huge red welts appeared on his face, and the tissues around his eyes swelled up. I rinsed with cold water, and within 2 hours the swelling is gone.can anyone help me understand this reaction, or suggest what remedies this incident may indicate? his immune system is still apparently hyper reactive. His last remedy was a dose of sulfur 200c about two months ago.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
If something in the dog's saliva caused this allergic reaction, then Lyssinum may be the remedy for this problem.You may look up Lyssinum and see if your son has some of the main symptoms of this remedy.

Thank you for your thoughts. I read up on the remedy, and its very hard to say that it applies. except for hypersensitivity, it does not seem indicated. his hives come from other sources as well. rubbing rough cloth while playing. if he gets too hot, taking a bath, after eating. so, its not just the dog lick, though that certainly did bring on the hives. what do you think?

It is again sulphur,second choice is Urtica Urens,Third is Apis,fourth Lycopodium,fifth is Bovista and sixth is Natrum Mur.
