My son has been suffering from constipation nearly for a month. This is happening perhaps because of siggnificant change in his food habit - he takes little or no interest in eating fruits like apple, banana, pears and avocado as used to be. He eats rice, cow milk,yogurt, pulses and vegetables. He also takes fish in less quantity.
In the second week of this month he developed an ear-infection (right side) with mild fever (37+ ºC) and cold. I took him to his doctor and as expected, the doctor prescribed him an antibiotic. After taking the
antibiotic, he got relief from both the ear-infection and constipation. However, constipation returned again with full force after completion of the anti-biotic course and I also noticed his dry and rough skin with mild irritation(Eczema) in his body, with more intensification in the lower parts (abdomen and legs). I give him two
consecutive doses of Silicea 200c (I did not have lower potency readily available with me) on 22nd and 23rd December for his severe
constipation (he was crying and cranky). His constipation condition
slightly improved there after, but still exists. He has also mild cold and dry cough which worsens at late night.
My son has been suffering from Eczema off and on since his early days. He had also suffered from Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) when he was
8 months old and he was on mild anti-biotic (Bactrim) for nearly 10 months after the recovery from UTI. During that time also, I
observed mild Eczema and doctor prescribed him a steroid cream (T.A. Cream) for controlling his Eczema. However, I finally got rid
of his Eczema by regularly using a moisturizing cream called 'Eucerin-pH5'. Now, I am worried to see his Eczema being surfaced again and the moisturizing cream is not helping him at all this time. The present weather condition is very dry and mild cold (18ºC).I look
forward to get suggestions for suitable homeopathic remedies.

Regarding ear-infection, this is the third attack since his birth (First one was at the age of 6 months). He had the symptoms of cold and fever all the three occasions and he developed the infections during the cold wind/weather. His right ear is normally get affected and it looks red inside (as his doctor tells me during physical examinations). He sometimes hold his ear when he gets an infection. He becomes cranky and looks pale when he gets fever and I have recently discovered that Aconite 30c is very effective to pacify him during that time. Thanks. When infection occurs, the inside of the ear becomes red (I think it is the middle ear infection). His lips get dry, however, his cheeks and white of eyes look normal. The ear-infection is normally accompanied by a sore throat (inflamed tonsillitis with a white coating).
Currently, there is no improvement in his constipation condition and I am giving him the 'Milk of Magnesia' every evening after dinner as suggested by his doctor (pediatrician). If I stop it, constipation condition really get worse.

Would anyone will urgently suggest me some remedy for the constipation problem of my son? He has urge to pass stool, but most of the times stool slips back up inside leaving some stains in his diapars. Whenever he gets a success with a great difficulty (crying), stool is hard and comes out as small balls. He gets some relief when he takes 'Milk of Magnesia'.

Give your son Alumina30C and Nux Vomica 30C two doses each alternately at every three hours(minimum) i.e. Alumina at 7 a.m (say), then Nux at 11 a.m , then alumina at 3 p.m amd nux at 7p.m.

My son has been taking two doses of Alumina 30c and Nux Vomica 30c per day (alternatively) for last three days and his constipation condition seems to be eased out. He now pass stool without crying, however stool still comes out as small balls 2-3 times per day and they are not as hard as before. Should I continue the same medicines in same manner and if so, then how long?
Just for your information, I had gaven him milk of magnesia before starting your remedies and that time I observed that his stool became more soft and he passed stool in more amount than now. I had stopped the milk of magnesia as soon as I started your remedies.

Just for your information, I had gaven him milk of magnesia before starting your remedies and that time I observed that his stool became more soft and he passed stool in more amount than now. I had stopped the milk of magnesia as soon as I started your remedies.

Replace Alumina 30 by Bryonia 30 and give as before i.e two doses each alternatively .

I replaced Alumina 30 by Bryonia 30 today morning (continuing Nux Vom. as before), but unfortunately his constipation condition again got worsed. Having some curiosity, I checked the remedy profile of Bryonia and I found that Nux Vom. is antidoting to it. Please suggest.

Stop Bryonia 30. Take as earlier, but first day give him a morning dose of Sulphur 30 and then give Alumina and Nux alternating.
Increase salad like grated cucumber, carrot and fruits like papaya.

Give him Silicea 6c ...three times a day until he is better reg. constipation...then slowly reduce frequency.
One dose of Kali bich. 200 C ..on the day you can get this med. For 24 hours no Silicea after giving kali bich. Restart again...with Silicea.
I am out of home base for an extended time so internet/ time availability is limited.

I am back from my trip. I gave one dose of Kali Bich. 200c and after 24 hours, I started the Silicea 30c (I do not have 6c potency) 3 times a day. Silicea seem to be working wonderfully and my son's BM getting normal (in 2 days). However, in the first dose of Silicea, he complained of stomach cramp, perhaps due to homeopathic aggrevation. I am planning to reduce the Silicea dose from today to 2 doses per day.
My son is also having a cough for last 2 weeks or so. He develops intense cough (dry) while sleeping (during late night or early morning) and often vomits if he drinks milk during that time. He has a habit of asking for milk if wakes up in night (due to coughing or otherwise). During day time he seems to be fine. If I give him Aconite 30c while coughing, then he gets relief immediately, but the problem has not gone yet. I am thinking of giving him Drosera 30c potency and please let me know if you suggest any other remedy instead of Drosera.

I want to report about the progress of my son. His constipation condition is slowly improving, but not yet fully normal. As suggested, I am reducing the dose slowly and now I am giving only 1 dose of Silicea 30c per day. His stool is little bit hard at the beginning and then seems to be fine. He still needs to put some effort at the beginning. Please suggest if I need to increase the potency of Silicea for a complete healing.
I have also noticed that his eczema has come back recently, first in the back of the neck, then in inner-side of his elbows and finally inner-side of his knees. However, his eczema's condition is very mild this time and they are getting faded away. I guess this could be due to the healing process of the remedies you had suggested and as I reported earlier, he used to suffer from eczema from time to time.
His cough is not yet gone completely and he does cough at mid-night or late-night and get worse if he takes milk at that time. He had a mild fever on 25the January and I gave him Aconite 30, but response was very slow. Then I gave him Ferrum Phos. 30 instead of Aconite 30 on 26th January and he got quick relief from fever only in 2 doses.

My son has now nomal BM. His eczema condition is much better than before and mostly disappeared from his body except from the inner side of his elbows and knees. He always try to scratch, which makes them worse and sometimes have inflammation with red patches of swellings. Otherwise skin in those areas are rough and very dry. Use of moisturiser gives relieve to him. Would you please suggest some remedy for this? Does he need a constitutional remedy?

To your son give Sulphur 200 one dose every week....for three weeks.
Give it preferably on a Sunday (weekly holiday).
