childhood anxiety - should I seek a professional homeopath?

My 4 year old son has selective mutism, he hasn't spoken outside of home since he was able to talk. He is seeing a psychologist who feels he has severe anxiety in social situations. He attends a pre-school class and when he returns from this he often has diorrhea and is very angry for a while. He is normally a very placid good humoured child. I feel being in the busy nursery and unable to talk, feeling anxious etc causes this. I have looked at various homepathic remedies which I thought might help but can't seem to narrow them down to just a few. Also Im not sure if the remedies for adult anxiety would be the same for children. Would I be best to seek out a professional homeopath or go ahead and try some remedies with him?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Seek help in person. There is much more to homeopathy than meets the eye , and an outside objective view is a good idea. Be sure the Dr. takes a good amount of time on your case and prescribes only ONE remedy at a time .
