This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
According to Hahnemann as stated in his Organon of Medicine : Any substance which is artificially flavoured or contains scents usually anitdotes.

But in my practice i have never encountered single case.

I view the antidote section in the organon in context with views at the time it was written - substances mentioned as antidotes there were also viewed as unhealthy for many reasons - it could be seen as subjective experience, alebit important to consider.
of course substances effect different people in different ways and if a substance affects the person in a negative way then it may seem as tho it is antidoting a remedy whereas in reality it is negatively affecting the person taking it.............
also any strong substance, if taken before the remedy is absorbed and active (too soon after or before the dosage - preventing absorption through the saliva in either case)may affect the absorption of the remedy. this does not mean don't use the substance, just not too near time of taking remedy.
just my thoughts and experiences, and I am sure others will have other experiences.
if you are really worried then change to a non-strong toothpaste or just use bicarbonate of soda.

sorry - first 'effect' should read 'affect'
