Stone in Left Kidney

I am 30 year old women, recently during medical check up I came to know about kidney stone abt. 5 mm in my left kidney.
I dont drink much water. Less than normally required. My skin is dry and flaky.
Do I need take any medicin? Doctor suggested plenty of water. Nothing else. But I want to take precaution now, any food habin need change? anything particularly need avoid. Please suggest.
