Will be Thankful for any help...

I've never had a problem with my hearing. In fact, usually, just kidding, I can hear two flies whispering 100 yards away.
However, after having a terrible December, first having some sort of crusty red bump on my left earlobe, then having an upper respitory infection, then having a terrible stomach virus, then finally at the end of December a sinus infection, I've ended up with a hissing sound in my left ear for the past 15 days.
I was given Amoxicillin for the respitory infection, nothing for the stomach virus, and then Amoxicillin again for the sinus problem.
Three days ago, on Sunday, Jan 21, 2007, I went to the ER at our local hospital because I had awakened to find blood in my left ear.
The ER doctor 'thought' the blood was coming from my 'ear canal.' I had told the doctor that I was feeling like the blood came from that crusty-red bump on my ear lobe. In either case, the doctor had a harder time looking into my ear because of the dried blood.
After several times of flushing out my ear with water, the doctor looked several more times with his ear instrument and told me he could see a round 'white pus' area inside my ear.
Sorry for the long post here, but I need to know if anyone has any other advice help for me. The ER doctor put me on Amoxicillin again which I started, but I still have this terrible hissing sound from that ear. For reasons unknown to me, our regular family doctor just does not seem to care about my hurt-pain and simply says,
'Oh, it'll go away,' and tells the staff not to schedule any furter appointments for me for this problem.
Because of this doctor's uncaring attitude, my family and I have decided to see another doctor here in our area.
My symptoms are these:
No fever
No naseau
No balance problems
No dizziness
Just left ear pain, and this constant hissing noise like you would have when your television station has gone off the air.

Thank you all for you help.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Why don't you find a homeopathist in your area and see him or her in-person?

people come here for help not to be told to go somewhere else and might feel more comfortable with no visable person

I have been searching for a person that does, or has knowledge of homeopathic medicine.
We live in a very tiny populated area of SW Minnesota, and there's just no one here. The biggest city of size is Mankato, Minnesota which is 65 miles from here. I've been looking for someone there.
I have also tried to contact a Dr. Richard Becker I've seen on the FamilyNet Christian television station, but no luck there yet either.
Also, I just returned home this evening from seeing a new MD who took the time, and the caring patience to help me. She told me that I have fluid behind both of my ears, and said that this hissing sound will most likely go away once this infection is gone.

Respectfully,
Jim

Dear Pankaj,

I'm a 58 year old carpenter that has always used very good ear protection when using loud power tools.
So, I'm pretty sure this constant sound in my ear is not from damage due to noise.
I've always had good hearing.
I just hope this new MD I saw yesterday was right when she said this constant ear noise will most likely go away when the fluid behind my ears heals up.

I haven't had very many illnesses since childhood except for a lot of sinus infections, and I've passed at least 40 kidney stones since I was about 22 years old. I've had so many kidney stones that I don't even take aspirin for the pain anymore. I just deal with it.
I really think that the scarring that the stones have made just make it not hurt as bad anymore.

Because I'm a carpenter, I usually have lots of cuts and scratches on my fingers, hands and arms. It just seems to come with the job, but doctors usually ask me about them anyhow. I just tell them it's from nails or wood somewhere on job sites. However, it does seem like I get more cuts now than I used to when I was younger because I don't think my skin is as tough as it once was. I'm not frail by any means, so maybe the many cuts and scratches are just what I said about being 'part of the job.'
I did get this funny looking sore on my earlobe a few months ago. I searched around the net and it looked a lot like herpes zoster. Which does remind me that I did have Bell';s Palsy two times in my life. Once in my 20's and again at age 42. That was terrible having the left side of your face not be able to move.
The only other thing I can think of was having an eye condition called Herpes Simplex Keratitis in 1983. My left cornea was really burned and scarred by this illness. And that episode, my friend, really hurt from the burning.
This is about all I can think of Pankaj. No other skin conditions, eruptions, or itching, and I don't usually feel hot or chilly.
As always,
Thank you for your concern...

Thank you Rishimba,

I've been calling around trying to locate this BRYONIA that you spoke about.
Hopefully, I can find it.
