Acid Reflux - Nexium not effictive (teenee) 29

get me off nexium!

Hello, I've been on Nexium for almost 3 years now, and it worked well for the first several years, but this past year has been horrible, even taking Nexium. Went to the dentist and they found 13 cavities. All at once. And I've never had cavities before. The dentist said it was from the lowered-pH level in my mouth....from the reflux.

I have chronic gastritis, negative Helicobacter Pylori. What is that, anyway, if it's not caused by H. Pylori?

I graduated from college and now my health insurance is up. Don't know what to do, but I just know that the proton pump inhibitor cannot be good for me, or anyone, for this long.

I need to know what to do to help heal myself, and what to take or eat as I am weaning myself off the purple pill so that my esophagus doesn't erode away. So frustrated!!!! I'm 24 year old female, no other significant problems, not overweight, non-smoker (although I used to smoke a lot). I'll do anything! Please stop my throat from burning!

I had similar problem years ago. Nux Vomica 30 cured this within days. That was a major turning point for me .... ,good bye allopathy !. I have also significantly reduced carbohydrate intake and eliminate white flour, white rice and sugar in my diet.I have also learned managing stress ( physical and mental ) is key and controling my anger.
Thank God.

Thanks! I went off for 2 days but last night I was in so much pain that I had to take a nexium; no amount of rolaids or any other neutralizer was even coming close to putting out the fire in my throat. I'll try those things, but one question, what's R-5? or R? Thanks again!!

Hi all
I have been on Nexium for almost 4 weeks-Not really sure if it is working as I do not have heartburn persay. I have a horibble stabbing sensation in my sternum, and notice that it worsens with what I may eat. I had an ultrasound and blood work but nothing seen. I had been on Celebrex and they thought that maybe this had harmed my eosophagus. Now they want me to have a barium xray. I suffer from Myasthenia which is an auto immune disease that affects my muscles. In the begging on this problem I had what I described as a bar under my breasts, that has since gone with the Nexium. So all to say, what I have read about gastric reflux, very seldom do they mention a stabbing sensation. Does anyone else have this other than heartburn? I thank you all for listening and look forward to reading.
