Chronic Prostatits

1. Symptoms
a. dull ache between legs
b. sharp, needle-like pain in or to side of rectum.
c. occasional white discharge in urine.
d. near constant mild burning sensation in urethra.
e. Occasional pain (intense burning in urethra on one occasion) during ejaculation.
f. Mid and lower back pain.
g. Occasional sharp pain in genitals and vicinity.
h. decreased ability to achieve and maintain erection.

2. History.
a. Frequent urinary tract infections of both fungal and bacterial nature since the age of 13-14.
b. Treated with multiple courses of antibiotics, none successful for more than a few weeks at most.
c. Beginning of prostatitis symptoms around 18-19 years of age.
d. Video urethral/bladder exam at ~23 years of age showed no abnormalities.
e. Generally declining sexual performance since beginning of chronic infection now worsening markedly.
f. frequent urination - sometimes every half hour or every two hours but usually ever hour. i frequently have to make 2 or more trips to the bathroom at night.

3. Sleep pattern.

a. I tend to stay up until I am exhausted and then fall asleep.
b. Sleep quality is generally poor and I can wake up feeling unrested even after 10+ hours.

4. Sensitivities

a. Cold - I don't tolerate decreases in ambient temperature very well. My extremities (arms in particular) become cold rapidly.

b. Allergies - Occasional seasonal allergies, generally improved with age.

c. Criticism - I generally don't take criticism or rejection well.

6. Other Symptoms
a. Dry, red, eyes with clear 'floaters' in visual field.
b. Suceptability to skin problems - Ingrown hairs, fungal infections, discoloration (age spots), slow healing wounds, probable eczema on hands and torso (small, painful sub-dermal blisters that occasionally burst and heal) but is not readily noticeable to a casual observer.
