Dear Dr.Joe,Thanks for your kind advice about the use of ARNICA-your favourite medicine;
I am 71 yrs old male, weighing about 78 kgs;live in CANADA; have HYPERTENSION for last 30 years but under control with Metroplol (100mg in the evening and 50 mg in the morning); DIEBETES since 4 years under control with one tab of metformine 500mgs;get GOUT once in two yers or so;Now I have problem of ENLARGED PROSTATE GLAND which makes me to urinate 4 times in the night, low flow, incomplete emptying the bladder; slight pain in the lower abdomen in the morning perhaps bladder does not like horizontal position which is normal 8 hours sleep in the night.No problem in the day;
PSA test is normal

For my recurring ankle pain ( perhaps due to inflamation in tendons ), I have been taking ARNICA 30C in liquid form prepared in mineral water as prescribed by you only once before sleep ; It gave me very good relief and nice sleep; Taking the thread from this forum, I took only two day ARNICA30C three times a day to get relief for my Prostate gland problem; It gave good results, reducing the frequncy to three, increasing the forceful flow etc. but then, it also gave me constipation,throbing pain in the middle of the head; lower pulse rate of 55 ( my normal is about 72) and restless night. So, next day , I stopped ARNICA three times but continued only befor the sleep.
Is that ARNICA gave me these reactions ?
Kindly advise on the issue ...

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I myself conclude that Arnica is age defying medicine.

It is a good remedy. Some prescribe it for every-body over 55 yrs. of age - one dose of 30 Potency at bedtime on regular basis.

Thanks for your reply.It is prepared in 500ml. minreal water by adding 3 drops of 30C Arnica liquid (20% alchohal)and shaking hard ten times before taking at the bed time . I was taking it in the morning, noon and in the night.
Now, I am back to one time as advised .
SINCE A FEW DAYS, I GOT LOWER BACHACHE, SHOULD IT HELP FOR THAT TOO?

It may get resolved on its own. Confine to Arnica, split dose, once in the night, for the time being.
The procedure you mentioned for preparing and taking the medicine is correct.

My family Doctor in Canada thinks that my lower back pain is due to a kind of arthiritis in Lumber area ( Vertebrate 3 & 4);It is like Sciatica pain, radiating from the lower back -CENTRAL PART, passing through the HIP and leg upto ankle. RIGHT SIDE only; gets better when rub the radiating area; unable to sleep on right side because of acute pain; also rarely on the back;
It is certainly not orthopedic problem which can not be fixed by surgery or otherwise in alopathic system except that they prescribe some pain killers and anti-inflamatory medicines ;
HOMEO is the best solution for this kind of pain. I need your kind advice.

Your symptoms point out to phosphorous as one of the possible remedies.
I will look into it in a more detailed way to see if it fits your condition.

It is now more than 15 days that I am going for physiotherapy and some alopathic medicines (Diclofenac; 75 mg twice a day ) only a little relief.
Should I start Phosphorous as advised by Dr. Murthy? In what dosage?

Lycopodium is Right sided remedy. ALso takes care of back pains and Prostate.

Decision on Potency of Lycopodium vary from person to person.
Also sometime it takes time to show the result

I got response from Dr. Astra advising for phosphorous as you advised while Dr. Rajendra Advised Lycopodium;
I ordered for the medicines and waiting for them; But in the mean time with physiotherapy and alopathic medicine which I was taking so far, it seems, I got 70 % relief; may be with time or ?

The relief with diclofenac sodium is palliation. It is not to be used continuously for a long time.
If your pain doesn't return, even after you stop it, that means you are getting better.
See, by stopping it for a day.
