How does it work???

Hello..
i know pretty much the basics of homeopathy, but am just confused on something. maybe you all can help me.

ok, so in order for a full cure to occur, does one need to find the 'perfect' one remedy?? or can there be more than one remedy that will offer a full cure? i hope you all can understand my question.

for example, say one seems very indicated for 3 or 4 remedies. will all of them work to complete a full cure, or will only one of them work to full cure?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
often, during analysis of a case and repertorising its found out that more than one remedy would be required for the patient. this may be due to some reasons like,

- all symptoms not converging to a remedy.

- prescriber is not sure of the miasms the patient is manifesting.

in such cases, to open the case, most acute and predominant sensations are taken up along with mentals and generals and a single remedy is suggested based on those symptoms.

after a certain response of the patient, the case is taken up again based on the present symptoms and the exercise is again carried out to find the similimmum along with the miasmatic consideration.

if the similimmum is achieved, its prescribed or else the most predominant and acute symptoms and sensations are dealt with as before.

this process continues till a miasmatic similimmum is achieved.

The similimum can only be one, and it includes the correct medicines, correct potency and correct method of administration.

However, there can be more than one similies. Each one of them covers a part of the totality.

It is difficult to zero in on the similimum on the first attempt. Normally, what a homeopath prescribes tends to be a similie, due to various reasons like lack of complete information, lack of adequate skill etc.

However, the disease can be cured with these similies too. What is required is a series of medicines , that are carefully chosen, to the best of the ability of the prescriber.

The first medicine will nudge you towards health a little, the second one improves further, and the third one may complete the cure.
