silica 30c

Hi,
I was wondering if someone could expl, ain something to me please.
My six year old son has a silica consitutional type. My daighter is currently seeing a homeopath because our previous one couldn't find her constitional type. She has had silica 30c as a split dose, one in the evening, one the next morning and the last one in the next evening. It is only three weeks ago so maybe it is too early to say but so far I haven't noticed a change in her. Apparently she also seems to be a silica type. My son weas prescribed it in a diffrent way, one a day for quite a while as we were told it was a slow acting remedy. It worked brilliantly for him and he is now eating really well and hardly has any colds.

Could someone explain to me the why one child has been given it one way and the other a different way. Could the way my daughter has been given it mean that it wont work as well because she has only has three pills?
Hoping someone can help,
Thanks
