Which remedy?

My 6 year old son fell sick last night. In the evening he was totaally ok. After 4 am he started sleeping restless, the fever went up to over 39 degrees. At 7 am he vomited.

Now the symptoms are:
- fever. No sweat. Wants to be covered. Says he is cold.
- feeling sick. Especially when standing up. Says that he feels sick 'in the throat'.
- after morning he has not really vomited. Only some water has come up, a little bit.
- the worst part is the terrible headache. On the forehead. Time to time it goes away and then he is behaving normally. When the headache comes he is miserable.
- drinks as I advise: a little by little. Wanted to have a warm, bitter juice, but did not drink it.
- at the moment looking at tv - does not complain about the screen.

I am so confused when somebody is having these kind of symptoms. I find the most difficult to find a remedy after aconitum.

I cannot decide is it puls, ipeca, nux vom, bry...
How to separate these?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Your boy probably will benefit from Ars Alb.

How to differentiate the remedies?

Bry is thirsty for large quantities and prefers cold.

Puls is not thirsty but prefers gentle cold open air.

Ars Alb is thirsty for small sips and is chilly. Also weak.

Read the remedies for their differentiating characteristics. Pay special attention to thermal symptomas and modalities.

Hi Srisri,

The boy is eating already and the fever is down. Yesterday he vomited several times and had over 38 all day.

I gave him Ars Alb 200 once. But after some hours he vomited again and I lost hope. Then I gave him Pulsatilla. I know I give too many remedies in these kind of situations, but I am not sure. I don't believe I have ever been able to treat headache and fever. In other cases I trust myself more.

It is so difficult to know....A child does not ask if he wants have a window open. He does not want to drink if he has nausea - he might be thirsty, but refuses do drink. How on earth you read a child?

I understand your predicament but it is not very difficult to read a child. Take him out for a walk in the open air and check reaction. Open the window and see if that lifts him or bothers him. Keep water by the bed side and observe how often he wants to have a sip or otherwise. Look for symptoms like how he is covering himself. So on and so forth.
