TURP...How long to heal?
Six weeks ago today I had a TURP. The surgery went well, no complications. I am now taking Cipro for some sort of bacterial infection. But, the Cipro is not working as a urine specimen today indicated more bacteria. Do not know what type as a culture needs to be done (48 hours). I am getting tired of this. I burn in the groin area and burn when I urinate. Not terribly, but it is not improving. I am only 53 years old and in excellent health. Is the bacterial infection normal? Shouldn't Cipro clear up most infections of this nature?audrs on 2008-12-31
