Swollen Turbinates And Mucosa

I really need help here.It has been 10 weeks now. Been to GP and emergency about 5-6 times. I had a cold (at least cold like symptom) right after new year and recovered within a week but my right nostril become swollen shut. Seen the GP etc and was told it was a cold and 5 weeks down the line the left nostril became swollen as well. Turbinates are swollen and red and blood vessels in nose filled with blood (can see thick dark vessels). I do not have any runny nose. Just swollen nose and the pain can be felt near the bridge of the nose too. I was told by GP that my weak sense of smell is due to not enough air into my nose. Like I said I do not have runny nose(no fever either).MAYBE just a tiny tiny bit in cold places (normal reaction?). I have always dislike smoke strong perfume etc (vasomotor rhinitis?) but this is the first time Im so swollen.I have only used decongestant spray 2-3 times to test if they will shrink and they did but I do not wish to use decongestant due to rebounce effect. PLEASE HELP me! I just want them to shrink and breathe and smell like a normal person again!
