Question about Oscillococcinum

Hi,

I am a person who is open minded to homeopathy, and I was wondering about highly diluted remedies such as Oscillococcinum.

Given that it is typically given in a dilution of 200C, is it not highly unlikely to contain any part of the initial remedy? How is it, in this case, that this remedy is any different to any other remedy that is given in a diluted state of 200C?

Please note that I am not here to blindly dismiss homeopathy, rather I am sincerely interested in the workings of such remedies.

I have tried to find information on this question, but it is either too generalised, or from a non-homeopathic source.
