Cantharis for excoriation-roof of mouth.

I had a severe excoriation in the roof of my mouth (palate), near the gums. The area is wrinkled, and on rubbing, the skin flaked out, and there was slight oozing of blood.

I repertised in Kent, and there it was...Cantharis in grade two.. and the only medicine in grade two.All the others were grade one.No grade three.

I took two doses of Cantharis 30, 3 hours apart.

Within 12 hours, the relief is perceptible, and now, after 24 hours, it is almost gone.No more medicine was used.

I had another experience, with Cantharis, long back.I had two large blisters filled with a watery substance, on the left side of my tummy, and they were having burning pain on touch.

Since these are large vesicles, I tried Rhustox first, but no relief. Then I looked in the repertory, and found Cantharis.

Within a few hours of the first dose, the size of the blisters got reduced, and in two days, after three doses, they are gone.

The conclusion is Cantharis works on any blisters that resemble those caused after burns. The cause need not be burns.

The key is 'burning pain on touch.'

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I love Cantharis, it is so noticable in it's action.

I treated a woman with a burn causing the symptom of unable to urinate even though badly needed to.

One dose corrected the fluid upset in her body and the second was the last given.

She was in the bathroom within 10 minutes and no more problems. The burn healed nicely.

Congratulations to both of you!

Murthy-I have a question about the earlier case. For how long did you have it and what potency did you use?
(ok. two questions)

The blisters case??

Cantharis 200, just three doses, spaced over two days. The blister subsided, the burning pain gone, and the healing started.

It took almost a week for the skin to become normal, but I didn't take any further medicine.

I started Rhustox immediately after getting the blisters, tried three doses in 200 potency, spread over two days, but found no relief.

Then tried Cantharis 200.So, the blisters were there for a total of three days.

Acute then.
So 200 works too in acutes (I never used higher than 30).
Even if spread over 2 days it was still one dose. low potency. That's what Modi said.

I used Cantharis in similar circumstances and results were good.

A patient of mine had bladder problems. He had very difficult and painful urination and he use to have severe urge to urinate but didn't produce any.

He was even hospitalized and doctors injected steroids and antibiotics in his bladder but relief was temporary.

In those days I was new to Homeopathy and didnt' know much about potencies. On the internet and from books I discovered that Cantharis may help him so I bought a bottle of Cantharis 200.

Cantharis 200 cured him. It's been 4 years and person is free from his urinary problems.

Hello Kuldeep,
Do you remember if you used a single dose?

No I didnt' use a single dose, I handed the patient a 30ml bottle containing Cantharis-200.

Patient recovered slowly and by the time bottle finished he asked another and went out to buy one more (Because he saw a virtue in it). I believe he used two and half bottles. (About a month and a half).

There was a slight relapse and he used another bottle. That was it. He is problem free for the last three years.
