HELP! My 3 year old does not sleep.

My son will be 3 next month. WE have struggled with sleep issues his whole life, but at this point, it is just too much to bear. AS I write, my son is awake. I put him in bed at 7 pm, last night. He finally fell asleep at 8 pm. He woke at 2 am and has been awake ever since and it is now 7 am. His room has been dark this whole time. He jumps on his bed, plays, and basically goes crazy in his room all night. We have tried EVERYTHING. and I mean EVERYTHING. We are responsible parents...very careful about what he eats and drinks, when he eats and drinks, bedtimes, routines, exercise, exposure to media, etc. We have tried melatonin, benadryl, and some homeopathic pellets such as cina...nothing works...not even remotely. This is tearing our family apart. I am 8 months pregnant and completely sleep deprived and depressed because my son is so loud at night that he wakes everyone up. His door is closed, our door is closed...doesn't matter. We can't ignore the noise. We don't go into him anymore because it is pointless, but the noise is so much, we can't sleep through it. Any suggestions?
