Baby fluid middle ear
I have an 11 month baby boy that has had six ear infections since December 2009 getting antibiotics each time. He has not had any ear infection for the last month but the specialist recommended tubes because he has fluid in his middle ear. I want to avoid the surgery. Last night he started to pull his ear again, has been cranky and started coughing while sleeping. When he wakes up he has some mucus on the nose and also coughs. The cough comes on suddenly consisting of two or three coughs. It gets better if he sits up, he is teething. He usually has his head hot (not fever but hot), he likes to drink lots of water He likes to be hold and has waking up in the middle of the night for the last 3 nights, he eats baby food good but does not want milk(formula). I have been trying to find an homeopathic doctor in New Jersey but cannot find any. A friend recommended pulsatilla but I dont know the potency that I should buy could you please help me? Thank you very much for replying Dr Rakesh. I read the article but my son does not have any discharge nor perforation of the eardrum (based on what the ENT told us there is no perforation)
From the Other symptoms he has
M. Boring the ear with finger
Q Hearing decreased
W. Tendency to get fresh runny nose
And since he is a baby and still does not talk I am not sure about O and P
The ENT physician did a tympanogram to measure the ear fluid and the results showed that he had fluid (the results show a flat line which the doctor told us mean that means that there is fluid behind the ear drum). Does this helps? I forgot to mention that lately he has been hitting his head with his hands.

It is really good to hear that he never had eardrum perforation despite having frequent middle ear fluid. Probably timely antibiotic helped to avoid this.
What is his present condition and what treatment you are giving him.
Please do not blow child nose as it is one of the main cause of ear drum perforation while there is fluid behind the drum.
Regarding homeopathic treatment, you should purchase Pulsatila Nigrican 30C, Calcarea Carbonica 30c, and Silicea Terra 30C.
First child should be given Pulsatila 30C one dose and report after two days.
One dose consists 1-3 pills #30 globules/drops.
If any confusion, please ask.

He almost didnt sleep last night because of the coughing he stop pulling his ear and also the fever. But the coughing is too much and he cries after each cough, he is not whizzing, he has a lot of clear mucus, he only wants to be held and is crancky. I am not giving him any allopathic medication.
I couldnt get the recommended potency for the pulsatilla (30C) they only had 6C at the pharmacy could I give him that? and what should be the dose? 5 pills? (6 * 5=30? does it work like that) also should it be only once per day?

Getting homeopathic medicines in some countries are really difficult due to various reasons.
You can give Pulsatilla 6C, but in what form of these medicines are.
In my opinion, you should give child allopathic medicine this time timely as you are new to homeopathy and availability of homeopathic medicine in your city is not good.
You should return just after this episode has resolved.

Thank you the Pulsatilla that I got is in pellets the brand is Boiron. I made the appointment with the pediatrician I will come back once he is better as you suggested.
