Can hear pulse in my head

Most evenings as I lay down to sleep I can hear what i believe to be my pulse. This can sound like a 'steam train' or clicking or a rush of something. It can keep me from sleeping quite often. Also I have blocked or semi-blocked nose (and head). Awful I know but now and then A lump will drop into my mouth from what I believe is the roof or back of my mouth, the size of a small pea brown/green in colour and smells awful and crushes like a pea would. Any ideas ?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
It can be blood stained phlem.

get some tests done.

If you have a pulsating headache....check BP and see drug picture of Glonoin....

Try eating the Raw Food Diet, and the sound of whatever it is - I've often wondered if it is Blood Pressure, what-they-call-Tinnitus, electromagnetic energy, whatever - will diminish greatly.

You are not alone.
When all is quiet I can hear my pulse. At first I thought it was a water pump left on or a noise from a clock. Now I find it is my pulse. If I ever get any answers I'll get back to you.

I wish we could email each other directly but I see that's against the forum rules.

When young all "hear" the workings of the body. One rapidly learns to filter this "noise " out .
Tinnitus is when you lose the ability to filter the sounds out.

Thank you passkey. Very interesting. And I have been suffering from a bit of Tinnitus for the past 10 years or so. Appreciate your input.
