Hello,my 8week old infant is suffering from what I believe is reflux.her symptoms are excessive sneezing,coughing,gagging/choking(mostly after she's eatten)hiccups,hard swallowing as if it hurts or its difficult,wants to be held a lot,crying even when she's been changed,fed and burped,spitting up(chunky at times)even an hour after eatting,mild droolingand poor sleep habits.I was told to give her Nat Phos 6x and Silicea 6x for a week.it has now been a week as of today,and it seems the medicines have been working.she is spitting up less often(and much less at a time)the swallowing sound has decreased some,crying has decreased significantly,sleep has improved,and she burps much better.she is still sneezing alot(though she has sincebirth)(and neither my husband or I have asthma)drooling about the same,she still gets hiccups but not quite as often.my question is,where do I go from here?do I continue as I have been?increase?decrease?what regimen should I imploy?she is a totally breastfed baby so I have been taking the dissolving tablets (2) 3times a day.

I note that you have been prescribed Nat Phos 6x and Silicea 6x which I understand you are taking yourself and that your baby has responded positively to this medication.

I would prefer that you stop the Silicea 6x as it is a deep acting remedy which can have other unwanted side effects on both you and your baby and it is not of any avail for you both.

You can safely continue with the Nat Phos 6x which you will take and it will also help you to reduce your weight very safely while helping with Baby's GERD (Gastro Esophagal Reflux Disease). You may reduce your dosage of Nat Phos to just 2 doses each of 2 tablets and observe her response and if it is positive you can continue with this dosage.

Thank you for your quick response.and yes my baby seems to have responded well to the medicines.I will discontinue useof the silicea 6x as you suggest,and continue with just the Nat Phos.should I expect to see further improvement?or will this just be something that will help until she outgrows it?

As long as she is responding to the 'second party' dosage of Nat Phos 6x you can safely continue as you are doing today as it will also help you to reduce your weight by up to 1kg per week.

I am very impressed with the performance of Nat Phos 6x to help GERD in infants which in your case you take yourself and it also helps your baby.

If at a later stage you find that it is not working for baby you can safely give it directly to her diluted in some water or formula when you start her on it. In this case you can start her on half tablet as this should suffice to help her GERD if she still suffers from it at that time.

Report her response from time to time here on this Forum.

Hello Sir

I am a 27yr old female and a mother of a 8 months old child, I am overweight and suffer from various ailments because of same. Been to your posts I came to know about Nat Phos 6X - a good remedy to reduce weight.
I am having this medicine from last 10 days - and sorry to say but i have gained 1Kg instead of loosing :(

I have healthy food with less fat intake...
Please help me out as I am 20Kgs overweight and have along way to loose.

I have observed that Nat Phos can only help about 80% of those who are overweight. It will not work if other allopathic drugs or Homeopathic remedies are used.

You state:

I take Dolo650 as a pain killer as and when required, also Belodona 30 for headaches sometime.
I have to start with 2 ayurvedia medicines also -Dashmularishtha and Ashokarishtha.

Will these medicines stop the effect of Nat Phos 6X?

I note that you have a problem with your ankle which required steroids after surgery and you discovered that these steroids increased your weight.

I do not think that my Nat Phos 6x therapy can help you as you have already discovered as it will not work with the other drugs that you are compelled to take for your various ailments.

I regret to inform you that in the circumstances, I may not be able to help you to reduce your weight. You can however persist with the Nat Phos on days when you do not take other drugs which will also include the Ayurvedic medicines.
