Dr Joe De Livera Please Help!

Dr Livera,
My 2 and a half month old son has severe nose blockage and has recently( almost 10 days ) started throwing out milk after feeds. As soon as I feed him he starts coughing it seems as if there is some blockage or congestion in his throat and then he vomits out milk which is very mucus-y which is why it becomes an ordeal for him to vomit that milk (he coughs, screams, hawks and cries to take out that mucus filled milk) as soon as the entire milk is out, he feels better and hungry and then I feed him and the process starts again. He is exclusively on breastfeed. His paediatrician has prescribed nasoclear and nasivion for his nose and Lanzol junior, domstal and phenzee. The doctor says that his chest is clear and the secretion from his nose falls into his mouth cavity which makes him choke and then he regurgitates. But I wonder why is the milk so filled with mucus. He used to pass stools about 7-8 times a day earlier and then all of a sudden they got reduced to once a day (His stools used to contain some amount of mucus and I think this is also one of the reasons of him vomiting milk filled with mucus)I have been giving him these medicines since saturday but there havent been any improvement. I read in one of your posts that lanzol junior should not be given and I have not given him lanzol since i have read it. Please tell me which medicine should I give to him for his nose blockage and his milk regurgitation. I really do not want to give him so many allopathic medicines. Please Help Sir! It is very saddening to see my 21/2 month old in such discomfort.
Thanks and eagerly waiting for your response

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I am amazed that yours is the third case of Baby GERD (Gastro Esophagal Reflux Disease) that I am treating today. It never rains but pours!!!

You can read the 2 cases that I am treating within the last few hours this afternoon on the links below:

http://www.abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/238791/

In your case since your baby is 10 weeks old you can take Nat Phos 6x dose 3 tablets taken thrice daily after your meals and hopefully your baby will respond and stop spitting out his milk. The bonus for you is that Nat Phos will also reduce your weight by about 1kg per week.

The other symptoms you listed like his blocked nose will also disappear as soon as his GERD is stabilized. This problem is perhaps caused by the milk from his stomach which is highly acidic going up through his nose when he vomits.

Please post his response within 12 hours after you take the Nat Phos 6x when hopefully his problems would have eased.

Do not give your baby any PPI (Proton Pump Inhibitor) drugs like Lanzol or Zantac or others as this is the worst treatment you can give not only a baby but even an adults as you can read by doing a search on the Web.

You will stop all other drugs you may be giving him now when you start on my therapy.

Hello Dr Livera,

First of all, My apologies for such a late reply. (With a 3 mnth old baby with GERD I'm sure you can grant me that). I would also like to thank you for your help, I have been taking Nat Phos 6x for past 10 days and I could see the change within 24 hrs,the milk he was vomiting turned from mucusy to curded and then reduced but it hasnt completely stopped. there are days he wont vomit any milk and then there are days when he would vomit out 4-5 times a day. His blocked nose hasnt eased either. Any suggestions?

I believe that the time has come to give him the Nat Phos 6x directly instead of your taking it for him. You can give it to him dissolved in either milk or in water. It is best to pulverize a tablet between 2 teaspoons and use just a few grains of the power after his feeds. Do not exceed a tablet per day.

This should stabilize his problems immediately.

I still believe that it is his spitting out his milk that is the cause of his blocked nose.

Keep me informed whenever you can.
