The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Constantly Digestively Sick After PPI Use

First of all my description:
-23 year old male
-Originally 174 pounds (Now 156)
-Was very active with exercise and ate healthy
-Besides weaker than normal Kidneys and a minor case of Spina Bifida. No previous health issues

On August 6th (little more than a month ago) I developed a mild case of gastritis from taking too much asprin with not enough food. My doctor suggested I take a two week regimen of Prilosec OTC. Within the first couple of days my gastritis was completely gone but I had some tenderness in the veins of my thighs. On the seventh day my blood pressure shot up to 180/140 and my heartbeat was 130 bpm. I had my blood tested and I was deficient on potassium. They gave me a couple of K pills and filled me up on anxiety medicine (Ativan)intervenously and my BP came down to 150/110 and they sent me on my way. For weeks after discontinuation of the Prilosec I experienced countless neurological and gastrointestinal symptoms. The list of these symptoms included:
-High Blood Pressure
-Rapid Pulse
-Brain Fog/Confusion
-Weight gain
-Tingling in extremities and face
-Muscle Twitching
-Anxiety/Depression
-Blurred Vision
-Golden Brown/Loose Stool

After weeks of experiencing these sypmtoms, I began to do extensive research and found out St. Johns drastically reduces the amout of Omeprazole from your system. I began taking St. Johns Wort twice a day. After three days I felt completley different. I had traded one set of symptoms for another. My brain fog was gone and I was able to think again. My blood pressure is nearly normal (120-30/80-90) but can spike with mild exercise which isn't usual for me. My heart rate tends to stay within resonable ranges (55 sleeping-90 during the day) with minor spikes every other day or so. My vision has cleared up for the most part except now I have a group of floaters in my right eye. The tingling in the extremities is nearly nonexistant now.

I now am experiencing a whole new set of symptoms that I think are related to Acid Rebound. It has been 1.5 weeks since the St. Johns Wort cleared my system of the Omeprazole.
The symptoms I am experiencing now include:
- Heartburn with any food (even toast, and I have never had hearburn in my life)
- Loss of Appetite
- Weight loss (was 174 pounds, am now 156)
- Bouts of dizziness (not like a spinning puking dizziness, but like a shock of dizziness)
- Esophogeal Spasms
- Persistant muscle twitching, espcially around the stomach and bowel area
- Swollen and sore throat
- Shortness of Breath
- Hoarseness in voice
- Weakness
- Fatigue
- Constipation
- Diarreha when I do have a bowel movement
- Mucus in stool
- Extreme gasiness (Burping and farting)
- Sore neck and back
- Pain in my thighs
- Trouble getting to sleep/sleeping through the night
- Terrible taste in my mouth when I wake up
- Constant gurgling in the stomach and bowels

I have no nausea or feeling of vomiting and have very little if any stomach pain.

I am currenctly treating my symptoms with:
- DGL Licorice before every meal and before bed
- 2-3 Tums late at night when my throat gets real sore
- Aloe Vera Juice
- Decaf Green Tea
- One glass of Papaya Juice per day in the morning
- Strict diet with no acidic foods whatsoever, pretty much just whole wheat bread, Chicken noodle soup and a multi vitamin is just about all my stomach can take.
- Lots of rest

I feel like I am slowly wasting away and it has severely impaired the way I live. I am worried I have done some serious damage to my gastro or neuro systems. I have had numeruos EKGs and blood test and everything has come back fine. Please help!

The answers to the homeopathic questions are
- Location of symptoms- Lower, Middle, and Upper Abdomen/Throat
- What started it off - The taking and coming off of Prilosec OTC
- When its worse- While walking. in a hot shower, or in heat in general
- When it feels better- In the morning after a good sleep and with no food in my stomach, preferably when its cold too
- Sleep Patterns- Waking up every 4 hours or so just to fall back asleep, vivid and sometimes disturbing dreams
- What am I sensitive to- I am sensitive to heat, a hot shower I used to love will leave me breathless
- State of mind- Constantly anxious
- Aversions to food- I can only eat very mild food. Can't eat any acidic or fatty foods. On a bread, Chicken noodle soup and multi vitamin diet, all other food creates heartburn
- Any major diseases- Minor Spina Bifida and weak kidney function
- Medicine Reactions- No serious effects on any medication except for Prilosec. It is the reason why I feel this way
- No homeopathic medicine history. Just DGL, aloe vera Juice, Tums and Papaya juice

I note that none of the classical homeopaths on this Forum has taken your case up to now. The fact that you have bumped it up in 24 hours indicates that you seem desperate for some positive therapy that can cure you.

You are suffering from the after effects of ingesting to much Aspirin and I would like to know the reason why you took an overdose (how many tablets? and for which ailment?) you did so. You are suffering today for this overdose today and it can have other repercussions on your Kidneys and Liver which is very unfortunate at your age of 23 years. To add to your ailment of GERD (Gastro Esophagal Reflux Disease) you have taken Prilosec and your BP has shot up to 150/110 with rapid pulse and other dangerous symptoms which were fortunately treated by some doctor who also included a drip of Ativan.

I believe that I can help you to recover but you will have to abide by my therapy and follow my instructions precisely in making the Wet dose which is copied below.

Nat Phos 6x Dose 4 tablets taken thrice daily after every meal.

Arnica 30c in the Wet dose taken thrice daily.

Robina Pseudacacia 3c in the Wet dose taken twice daily.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in a 5ml Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done every time before sipping a capful of the bottle twice daily.

Your choice of food seems OK and we can observe how you respond to my 'Joepathy'

Report progress in 3 days.

PLEASE MAKE A FIRM RESOLUTION NEVER TO SELF MEDICATE IN FUTURE WITH DANGEROUS DRUGS WHICH YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY IDEA AS TO HOW THEY CAN HARM YOU.

Thank you very much for the quick reply.

I am in significant pain/discomfort as you guessed. I woke up this morning (about 7:30) and have been experiencing bad heartburn which I suspect is from taking tums last night and getting some minor relief.

At the very beginning of August, I was having some Sciatic pain and inflammation in my lower back. I went to a doctor and he prescribed me 500mg Naproxen. I must have had 6 or 7 in a span of five days or so and it did clear up the inflammation in my back but gave me a horrid case of gastritis.

Do you think it is the gastritis that is effecting me now or the acid rebound from the PPI?

After the St. John's Wort my blood pressure is pretty much back to normal (just checked it and its 125/78) but I do have sudden spurts every once in a while.

Are Nat Phos, Arnica, and Robina Pseudacacia availabe at a health food store? I have a Vitamin Shoppe by my house and am planning on stopping by there. Or do you have to order it?

I was also planning on getting some Pro-Biotics/Digestive Enzymes. Is that a good idea?

Thank you very much again

'Do you think it is the gastritis that is effecting me now or the acid rebound from the PPI? '

I believe that you are suffering from an excess of gastric juice which was triggered by the drugs you were prescribed for your Sciatica. At your age you must make up your mind NOT to depend on drugs as you can end up with all this unnecessary suffering. You are welcome to post your problem on the ABC and if I see it, I shall be glad to respond.

Thank you Dr. Joe for the advice,

I just went to my local health store and picked up the Nat Phos 6x (Sublingual) and Arnica Montana 30c.

Now I couldn't find the Arnica 30c in the liquid form so I picked up the Sublingual form. I know it won't be as effective as the wet dose but I don't get my pay check till monday so I just bought something small to hold me over till then.

I just took my first four pills of Nat Phos 6x and 2 pills of Arnica Montana 30c sublingually after eating one cup of probiotic yogurt(Activia) and some bread.

Hoping for the best and will be keeping you posted. Thanks again

lownskater52 last decade
I would prefer that you use the Wet dose of Arnica 30c which you will make with just 6 pellets which you will put into a 500 ml bottle of water as per the instructions in my post above.

The pellets cannot help you but the Wet dose will.

Take the NP after a meal and you will feel the difference within a few minutes which that horrible acidic feeling will leave you hopefully with the first dose.

Joe De Livera last decade
Is there any way to use the Arnica pellets and make them into a wet dose?

lownskater52 last decade
Please read the first paragraph of my last post to you for instructions on using the pellets to make the Wet dose.

Update: I took the nay phos and the arnica at 1130 am this morning with a light meal of bread and probiotic yogurt.

It is now 4 o'clock. I can't point to any specific improvement in my gerd symptoms by I'm not sure. My throat still is somewhat sore and my burping is still somewhat prevalent.

What's new today is that I am having almost debilitating bloating/stomach cramps/bowel spasms/constipation and a complete loss of appetite. I don't think the nat phos or arnica. I have been taking three of four Tums everynight for the past couple of days so I could just be very constipated. I have also seen online that gerd and ibs go hand and hand so I hope I haven't developed anything too serious. I feel like I'm dying

What do you think doc?

lownskater52 last decade
It seems to me that the 'probiotic Yogurt' may be the cause. Stay with bland food for a few days and eat little but often when you are hungry. Let your digestive system heal and do not overload it before it is ready to come back to normal. Do not take any Tums which I believe is based on Aluminium Hydroxide as this will antidote the Nat Phos 6x. You must know that the 6x potency is just 1 Millionth of the original salt Sodium Phosphate. At this extreme dilution one wonders how it can work but it is POTENTIZED and this is the reason it does.

You can safely increase the dosage or NP to 6 tablets but this has resulted in a metallic taste on the tongue in some patients. Continue with the Arnica as this will help to heal your Esophagus which is badly eroded or burnt by the gastric juice. Also do not lie down for 2 hours after a meal as this will promote reflux upwards to your throat. The burning is the result of the reflux attacking your throat.

The Nat Phos and Arnica is your last hope and you can only pray that it will help you. The other remedy I prescribed Robina Pseudacacia 3c will reduce the flow of HCL and this too will help. I presume that you have ordered it.

Report progress as often as you wish and I shall try to respond as soon as I see your input.

Dr Joe,

I believe that you were sent to help me by god.

My heartburn is virtually gone. I still have some some bouts of heartburn and I still am burping up food to some extent but the constant, flame in the throat, burning is gone. I am eating small but full meals again`and I can drink things like cranberry and orange juice and not writhe in agony. It's amazing. I have been following your directions exactly. I take 6 Nat Phos 6x after breakfast, lunch and dinner and Arnica Montana 30c when I wake up and when I go to sleep (five pills in a water bottle, shaken until dissolved, two caps full). It didn't give me instant relief but after a few days I am noticing my symptoms diminishing significantly so it must have been a pretty awful case of GERD. My throat is still constricted and keeping me from taking full, deep breathes, probibly due to scarring from acid reflux and maybe even some continuing underlying symptoms of GERD. I am going to keep on my homeopathic regimen for now and I am still going to the GI to get and endoscopy on Friday just to make sure everything is in tip top shape. I cannot thank you enough for what you've done for me already.

I now have a new problem that I need your advice with though.

I went to the hospital last night with kidney and groin pain. I was diagnosed with a Urinary Tract Infection (Blood in urine) which is unusual in males and probibly related to my weak kidney/urinary function. They gave me some Cipro (Antibiotic) and some Lortabs and was told to take two a day of each. Foolishy enough I trusted modern medicine once again and took both before bed. It wasn't twenty mintues after I took the Cipro that my entire body began to tingle and go numb. The pins and needles feeling was actually painful. Blood pressure fell to 90/60 with a pulse of 47. First time I had ever seen those numbers on my blood pressure machine. Also had joint pain, dizziness and weakness in the legs when walking. I was even trying to scare myself into a panic attack or something just to get my vitals up but to no avail. Did some research and learned the Cirpo contains poisonous FLUORIDE and I was having a reaction to it. Ended up going to sleep and thank god the next morning things were relatively back to normal but now my lymph nodes are annoyingly swollen now and I have off and on shortness of breath. I went back to the doctor and he took me off the Cirpo and gave me Bactrim (a different antibiotic). I did some research this time and the side effects are the same if not worse than the Cipro(even immediate death in some cases). I am going to hold off on taking this death pill and I am going to see if I can't cure my UTI with natural and homeopathic remedies.

I also got my MRI results of the head and neck from earlier this month and the doctor said he saw some levels of plaque build up in my Carotid Artery. I am going in for an Ultra sound of the neck later this week. This build up of cholestorol is also probibly an effect of my weak kidneys.

So lets start here. Are there any homeopathic remedies for the illness I mentioned above. Here are my list of symptoms and what I think they apply to.

Urinary Tract Infection:
1) Soreness around my lower back and pelvic area
2) Infrequent but painfully sharp pangs around my groin and pelvic area.
3) Minor Discomfort during Urination (scale of one to ten, a three)
4) Frequent Urination
5) Started 3 days ago
6) Swollen Lymph Nodes? (Could be due to UTI or the plaque)

I am currently drinking atleast 10 bottles of water a day (5 liters), supplementing absoribic Vitamin C, and drinking multiple glasses of 100% cranberry juice. I have seen very slight reduction in symptoms.

Plaque in the Carotid Artery:
1) Blood Pressure spikes with even mild excurtion.
2) Neck Stiffness
3) Swollen Lymph Nodes (could be the UTI or the Plaque)
4) Shortness of Breath
5) Bouts of high pulse rates
6) Dizzy spells
7) INSOMNIA

I am currently taking nothing for this so far. I am contemplating taking a single Asprin to relive the inflammation around my neck and carotid artery. One is probibly all my stomach can stand at this point and time

Lingering GERD symptoms:
1) Shortness of Breath (could be silent GERD)
2) Burping up food/gas regularly even hours after eating
3) Gaining but still small appetite.
4) Chest fullness
5) Constipation

Sorry for writing you a book but you have just been so helpful so far. Please help with these symptoms. The Shortness of Breath and the rest of the symptoms are nearly debilitating, but atleast I don't have heart burn anymore!

Thanks again for the help,
Taylor

Hello!

I am sorry to ask you : did you try Nux vomica ? It seems to me you took a lot of medicines and your digestive system is completely up side down.I would not take anymore medicine, allopathic or homeopathic for awhile just to rest your body. The more you will take the more symptoms you will get.

To Taylor

I am glad to note that my therapy has helped you. I too have an abiding trust in God and I have many instances in my long life of 82 years when He worked so many miracles and preserved me up to today and here I am at my advanced age trying to help you.

Ciprofloxacin is the drug of choice for a Urinary infection and it is based on fluoroquinolone but quite frankly I have never heard of this drug causing the symptoms you describe. I have taken it myself about 10 years ago post surgery for my Prostate and did not experience any discomfort whatever. It is obvious however that you are allergic to this drug and you must remember to never take it throughout your life. You seem to be allergic to even Bactrim which is a Sulfamethoxazole totally different in its bactericidal action. It is essential that you take an antibiotic and i would recommend Amoxicillin which is a Penicillin bases drug and you can take the 500mg capsule twice daily for a minimum of 4 days as it is also effective to control any bacterial infection in the Urinary tract.

I must admit that I am flabbergasted at your statement:
'I also got my MRI results of the head and neck from earlier this month and the doctor said he saw some levels of plaque build up in my Carotid Artery. I am going in for an Ultra sound of the neck later this week. This build up of cholestorol is also probibly an effect of my weak kidneys. '

This is a clear case of how the medical profession milks a 23 year old boy when they spot a patient who seek medical assistance for GERD and then discover a multitude of other ailments, all of which are imagined. You have already done a plethora of tests like MRI and Ultra Sound and they do not come cheap. I presume that they are counting on your willing contribution to their revenue with other tests and drugs and my advice to you is DONT fall into their trap.

I would like to have the results of a standard Blood Test for your Lipid Profile which will prove that you at age 23, do NOT have any Cholesterol which your doctor has already confirmed with his MRI which shows some level of plaque buildup. It would be worth while your getting this report in writing as anyone who is knowledgable in medicine is aware that Cholesterol usually affects anyone after 40 years of age. You can then challenge him after your Blood test to explain how he diagnosed Cholesterol Plaque in your arteries without any cholesterol and Triglycerides in your blood.

Someone suggested Nux Vomica and I would suggest you take just 2 doses of the 200c potency dose 4 pellets sublingually for just 1 day morning and evening. You must continue with the Nat Phos 6x as this is your life saver with the Arnica as usual.

Please complete the Patients Questionnaire on:

Dear Dr. Joe,

Well I feel like I am back in hell again. I was feeling pretty good after a week and a half/two weeks of taking Nat Phos 6x (3 times a day after meals) and Arnica Montana 30c (Once in the morning and once and night). I was having little to no heartburn after meals, the occasional bloating/regurgitation, and the lingering slight shortness of breath.

I guess you could say I got cocky and foolish at the same time and pretty much reduced my Nat Phos intake to whenever I remembered and reduced my arnica montana wet dose to maybe once every couple of days. This was a terrible mistake. I went back to eating whatever I wanted about a week or two ago. I am talking all the food I've ever missed out upon. I also began to take Tums and Asprin(small dosages) daily because the shortness of breath. I figured my throat was swelling up due to the GERD.

I now have bouts of heartburn after small, healthy, carb-free meals again and have been experiencing SIGNIFICANT shortness of breath. The shortness of breath is nearly debilitating and is absolutely horrible after I eat, after any physical exertion, at night (past 10pm), and in the morning when I wake up (lingers for hours after I wake up). It makes it nearly impossible to sleep(down to 5 or 6 hours a night). I have to sleep sitting straight up now because of the bad acid reflux. Also at night I experience, what I think is, small bouts of Sleep Apnea. I'll start to finally nod off to sleep and then all of the sudden I will feel like I have stopped breathing and will quickly wake up again with a feverent breath of air. Its not constant but does happen every once in a while.

The chest pain was so bad at one point that I thought I was having a heart attack and went back to the damn hospital again. I got the full treatment of EKGs, Cardiac Enzyme Testing, CT scan of my heart and lungs, and a CT scan with contrast of my entire body for blood clots. The heart doctor of the hospital said all he could see was some slight sinus arrythmia due to heavy breathing and that everything was fine cardiac-wise. They gave me a shot of Torodol and sent me on my way.

I had my Upper Endoscopy yesterday morning and its showed a mild case of 'congested muscosa in the gastric antrum', a.k.a. upper stomach gastritis. They took a biopsy and sent me on my way. I was shocked to see/hear that my esophagus was fine. No scarring or Esophagitis. My whole hypothesis for my shortness of breath, scarring or constriction due to acid reflux, was proven incorrect.

I went back to the doctor today who suggested I might have GERD related Asthma (where the acid back up signals the bronchial passages to constrict). He wrote me a prescription for Salbutamol with an inhaler but unfortuantely my insurance would not cover it. He did a Peak Flow test and he said it was somewhat normal (550,330,300). I am going to try to get an appointment with an Asthma/Allegy doctor Monday to get a spirometer test/lung function test.

Meanwhile I am back to my natural, alloptahic, and homeopathic medicine for the time being. I am currently taking:

- Nat Phos 6x (started back today, 6 pills sublingually 3 times a day after meals)
- Arnica Montana (started back today, 2 cap fulls twice a day, in the morning and at night)
- Manuka Honey 15UMF (1 tbs with a small piece of toast and 1 tbs without toast right after, 5 to 6 times a day)
- Slippery Elm (1 tsp in a half cup of water, 3 times a day)
- DGL Licorice (1 chewable 3-4 times a day)
- Carb-free Diet (started today with boiled Chicken Breast and Carrots)
- Zantac 75(ranitidine, started last night, twice a day)
- Apple Cider Vinegar (1 tbs a day, does nothing but taste gross)
- Nyquil (1-2 tbs at night to get to sleep)
- 8 glasses of water per day

My symptoms started mildy about 3 or 4 days ago and consist of:
- Constant Shortness of Breath (Especially after eating, in the morning and at night but remains noticable throughout the day)
- Heartburn after every meal
- Upper chest/esophagial pain
- Chest tightness
- Headache
- Stiff neck/jaw pain
- Minor back pain
- difficulty swallowing
- Lump in throat (globial sensation)
- constant phlem in throat/clearing throat
- Sleep apnea
- Insomnia
- burping/regurgitation for hours after eating
- congested nasal sinuses
- weird gurgling sounds after I eat or drink anything (including water)
- fatigue

My symptoms seem to get worse in both hot and cold weather. I tried heating up my shower real hot and sitting in the steam but that only made things worse. Lying down also exacerbates my symptoms dramatically. So far all of my remedies haven't provide anything but very slight relief.

I have been reading many of your forum post for GERD/Asthma and it seems like you tend to recommend a wet dose of Natrum Sulph. I plan on picking up a vial on monday.

Please help Dr. Joe. Your advice worked like magic the first time so I trust you completely this time and won't veer from your instructions again.

P.S. I was able to clear up my UTI/Kidney Infection without antiobiotics by taking 1 tsp of colloidal silver 3 times a day. Just had my urine tested and there was no blood and no sign of infection.

Thanks in advance for your help.

It seems such a pity that you stopped the therapy I had prescribed and you are now back to square one.

You will have to start the therapy I prescribed:

Nat Phos 6x Dose 4 tablets taken thrice daily after every meal.

Arnica 30c in the Wet dose taken thrice daily.

Robina Pseudacacia 3c in the Wet dose taken twice daily.

The Robina is important and you have not taken it so far. This is the equivalent of the PPI that you have started to take again and should help you.

Go back to the routine that helped you and report progress.

You now know the price you have to pay for stopping my therapy and I hope that this will teach you a lesson of the consequence of doing so.

Joe De Livera last decade
If your 'Asthma' bothers you again, I shall prescribe another remedy which can help it.

Joe De Livera last decade
I know. I am an idiot and I am paying for it. And I was doing so well too...

I started back up the Nat Phos 6x (sublingually), 6 tabelts after every meal

Arnica 30c Wet Dose Twice a day

I also just ordered the Robina and it should be here by the end of the week.

Should I keep taking the Zantac 75 (raniditine) and the gaviscon? Will those interfere with my homeopathic medicine.

I also went to a clinic today (not my regular doctor but I got there sometimes)because of my debilitating shortness of breath and they saw my blood pressure at 146/94 and my heart rate at 110 (My readings are normal when I am inactive but the second I begin even minor physical activity, they spike) and they gave me Bystolic (a beta blocker) and a free trial of Symbicort for ashtma. I began to read the reviews for both medications on the website 'askapatient.com' and honestly, the reviews are horrifying for both. Not to mention comes with a big warning saying 'May cause death, must have short acting inhaler while on this medicine' on the Symbicort instructions.

I think I am going to hold off on those medications for now, until I see an asthma doctor, hopefully tomorrow of Tuesday.

I am really hating life right now. My quality of life is near zero right now. I think bad thoughts some times. I think I might run out and grab some nat sulph to see if that opens up my airways. Maybe a wet dose with the pellets diffused in a water bottle.

Please help Dr. Joe...Please

lownskater52 last decade
P.S. I have gone to a carb/fat free diet of baked chicken breast, carrots, and green beans. It helps somewhat. My heartburn is minimal right now but the other symptoms are very very present.

P.P.S. Pretty sure it is related to acid stimulating my Vagus Nerve. I have esophageal spasms, dizziness, headaches, and shortness of breath. All after eating. I also am feeling my kidney infection come back but have fought off the infection with colloidal silver once again. Kidneys, lungs, heartrate, blood pressure, gastro function, and the esophagus can all be affected by stimulation of the vagus nerve. I just don't know what to do.

I am wishing I was dead right about now.

lownskater52 last decade
'Should I keep taking the Zantac 75 (raniditine) and the gaviscon? Will those interfere with my homeopathic medicine. '

Zantac is POISON if taken for some time. All PPI Drugs are equally poisonous. Check them out on the Internet. Stop taking it and the Gaviscon.

I have the classic case of a doctor who happens to be a relative who was popping PPI's for the last 10 years after every meal although I had cautioned him of the dangers which he just pooh poohed. He was recently in hospital for a Bypass surgery and all his arteries were blocked. He admitted that he should have used my NP + Arnica therapy and is doing so today even though very late.

It is in your hands to use my therapy precisely as prescribed and you will discover that you will be back to normal in a few days. You will then reduce the dosage of Nat Phos but you will take the Arnica twice daily for a month and later just once nightly for life.

There is no harm in taking Nat Sulph 6c in the Wet dose just once nightly to check if it can help your Asthma.

Joe De Livera last decade
I will do exactly as you say from now on, I promise that Doctor.

I took the last Zantac of my life today and noon. It was giving me headaches and weakness in my ankle joints anyways. I also had carrots and greenbean for dinner last night and literally saw them in my stool undigested.

I ordered Robina P. this morning and its on its way now.

I am only taking very small sips of Gaviscon to relieve my heartburn symptoms.

I do gotta say those I feel like my body is starting to get back on track with the homeopathic remedies I do have.

- My heartburn has somewhat regulated. I still get it after every meal but its less severe than yesterday.
- My throat doesn't hurt as bad as it did yesterday

Somethings that are still plaguing me are
- shortness of breath - I think I am experiencing VCD (Vocal Chord Disfunction) caused by my extreme GERD stimulating my Vagus nerve. This is when Vocal Chords constrict (spasm) during inhalation when they should be expanding. GERD is a main cause for VCD. I will be halfwaly through a breath and then all off the sudden, no air will come out; then abruptly, the breath will resume. Feels like my throat opens and closes in a split second. The breathless is constant though. I could still have asthma tho so I am going to look into it. My oxygen saturation is 98-100% and is made much worse by either hot or cold.

- Still burping up/gurling food up hours after I've eaten it. Sometimes I feel like need to burp but I can't because the air hole to burp through it too small.

- Still having trouble swallowing. Even water will get caught in my throat and I'll either have to spit it out or take a deep breath for the water to slide down. Scared to eat food right now. A symtoms of VCD

-Almost complete sinus blockage. I can hardly breathe through my nose at all and when I do I get a loud wheezing noise. I dont think that this is a case of nasal polyps so I am thinking about getting some nasal decongestent spray here in a minute. I'll feel the tingle of a sneeze, get all ready to sneeze, then it will dissapte into nothing. Oddess sensation I've ever felt. Also another sign of VCD.

-Still having high blood pressure. Just took my measurements and they are 130/93 with 86 BPM and I have literally been sitting in my chair for the past hour or two relaxing. It goes much much higher with mild exertion, and I walk a mile to and from school to class 4 days a week. I took 1g of Ativan tonight because my nerves were getting away from me so its not like am anxiously pushing my measurements up. I as mellow as a marshmellow right now.

-Coughing up phelm every 30 minutes. I have filled one full water bottle with just todays phlem. This makes me think it could be asthma. I am not sure how you tell the difference between Asthma and VCD but I think VCD is diagnosed through a Nasal endoscopy or larygnoscopy while Asthma you take a Spiromter test.

-Headache- I think this is either from the Zantac 75, my GERD causing muscle pain(neck pain as well), my constant inhalation, or a lack of air getting to my brain. Can't be sure.

Some steps I am doing now are
- Nat Phos 6x, 6 pellets sublingually after every meal
- Arnica Montana 30c, Wet dose twice a day
- Manuka Honey UMF15 - Whenever I feel like it throughout the day
- Slippery Elm, 1tsp in a water mix three times a day
- Carb/Fat Free Diet. Just baked chicken breast and veggies for me for a WHILE
- Propped my bed up by 6 inches+ so I am elevated while I sleep
- Practicing Abdominal Breathing as Described in the VCD handbook. I have found this to be minimally to moderately effective.
- 1g of Ativan daily to keep me from freaking out about my symptoms.

What do you think Doctor Joe? What is your diagnoses? Think the nasal decongestion spray is a good idea?

I will definitely be picking up the Nat Sulph tomorrow.

Do you got any remedies for spasming Vocal chords (VCD)?

HELP!

Thanks doctor joe

Add Aloe 6c to your order.

Aloe will hopefully help to soothe your gut as I am alarmed to note that
'I also had carrots and greenbean for dinner last night and literally saw them in my stool undigested. '

Your theories about VCD are not true.

Your problem is due to excess acid production which we can hopefully treat with the remedies I have prescribed.

What is the colour of your phlegm?

Very Clear Phlem, just transcluent.

No yellow or gray that would indicate and infection. Just looks like really thich spit.

I have a hole container of aloe vera juice. Would that due?

No.

What you need is the Potentized 6c remedy which you will use in the Wet dose as prescribed.

This morning I feel a little better. No heartburn upon waking which is good.

At some Probiotic yoghurt and the stomach feels a little funny. Thats about it for gastro stuff.

Some problems I am still having are:
-The shortness of breath
-Fatigue
-High Blood Pressure (with mild exertion, it gets so high that I get dizzy)
-Fast Heartrate (easily 95-100 while resting)
-Relentless Headache
-Neck Stiffness
-Fully undigested food in stool
-Sinus Congestion
-coughing up phlem

I think the High blood pressure, racing heart, headache, and undigested stool stem from some medications I probibly should not be taking. Most of these rpaid jumps in BP and Pulse come with any physical exertion at all. These include:
-Zantac 75 (last dose: noon:13 hours ago: Possible side effects include fast/irregular heatbeat and high blood pressure)
-St. John's Wort Herb (Last dose:9pm last night: Possible side effects include fast heartbeat and high blood pressure
-1.5 grams of Lorazepam(Ativan) since 8pm last night: Know Side effects:High pulse rate

I think these drugs are playing on me right now. I am currently drinking tons of water in an attempt to flush these from my system.

What can I do to normalize this high BP and Pulse? I took a dry dose of 3 pellets of Arnica Montana and am gonna see if that helps. I am still sticking to the Nat Phos and Arnica Montana (wet) religiously right now.

I am also considering going to grab some Nat sulph for the shortness of breath and digestive enzymes for the undigest food in my stool.

What do you think doc?

add heart palpitations (especially after eating and drinking) to that list

definitely think its caused by the zantac/lorazepam/stjohns wort.

Any remedies doctor?
