depression and cfs

My husband who suffers from depression and cfs, has recently taken one dose of sepia 200c single dose. He has had some relief from dpression insofar as he has been more hopeful, less despair, less negativity and more tolerance. Now a week has passed and he would like to know if he should repeat the dose to have more benefit, or a higher potency. HIs condiition goes back many years, almost twenty years and he has been on and of antidepressants which now he decided to stop.
Thank you

I have to rectify something very important. I preceive myself as agreeable, but my wife and my children tell me that when I am depressed I am very irritable, I don't like contradiction and I can get angry over insignificant things. My negativity can froze any situation and spoil happy moments, this is why I chose sepia 200c and I have to say it has given some relief . In a word I not only brood but I am very reactive and cast a dark shadow on other people's life.

Based on what you write, your husband use the medicine daily, anti-depressant? SSRIs.

Not so strange that he has these symptoms you describe here.
It is very difficult to provide homeopathic treatment while a person uses such medicine, because these medication affects all internal parts of the body.
Why is he is still using such drugs, it's obvious they do not help?
Such drugs do, as I said, very hard to find the right homeopath remedy, it undermines, or rather hide symptoms.
In the current of community, it seems like it's dangerous to have feelings, then the doctors come with their remedies to hide them away.

Can you remember why he was put on anti-depressant? What are the symptoms he had before this?

This sounds very much like Mezerium. But you have not given enough information to confirm that medicine. Please look at the description of Mez. and say if anything else fits you.
http://homeoint.org/books3/kentmm/mez.htm

Mezerium has the symptom of emotional symptoms caused by insignificant details. The person who needs Mezerium gets into arguments over small details especially at work and home, and then regrets how they have acted afterwards.

Emotional symptoms in a person who needs Mezerium are caused by practical problems at work or home.

How are your hands? Are they tough? Calloused? Warts?

You have not given enough information to be sure what your medicine is. The more information, the easier it will be to find.

My preference would be to start on Mezerium LM 1. However, I realistically don't have time to manage another case.

Where do you live? Can you get Mezerium LM 1, if that is what you need?

Do these symptoms fit?

'Religious or financial melancholy; melancholy which shapes itself upon the patient's business; indifference to everybody and everything; irritable; thought is difficult; memory weak; absent minded; has no rest when alone, yet averse to talking. Insanity with melancholy, sadness, and a history of eruptions that have called for Mez.'

Are there any headaches?

Does Mezerium seem appropriate? Mezerium people are usually responsible family members, who like to be quiet, are averse to conversation at times, and get into arguments over small things.

Dear Jewish Homeopath
sorry for not answering you, but I stopped for few days checking the forum because absorbed in some family problems. The answer to the various questions is the following:
My hands are short and stubby, they would be tough if I was a labourer but I am a scientist so they are not. all the other things you ask the answer is affirmative. Warts on hand I have had, head ache recurrent, financial melancholly yeas, thought is difficult yes, poor memory, indifference. You could certainly summarize my nature as you did: a responsible family member averse to conversation at times and very reseved. When in depression they say I argue over small things and cannot tolerate contradiction. I can have also outbursts of rage which I try to control, over these small things or when things don't go smoothly or expected because I cannot cope. It seems to me that the picture you drew fits me. i would like to try Mezerium 1LM, how do I take it. Thank you very much

I would like to add that my apprehension is flet in the stomach, as it is desrived in the profile of the remedy you sent me. So please suggest how i should take it.
Thank you

Jewish homeopath, could you please give me more details on the prescription of mezereum 1LM. How do I take it?
Thank you

albapapa last decade
It sounds like Mezerium is very appropriate in this case. You could get Mezerium LM 1 in 4oz of water (Hahnemann Labs).

From the main glass, put one tablespoon into a new bottle of 10oz filtered water. Let it dissolve, and then drink one tablespoon of that liquid.

Then please report how you feel here.

Will you be able to get Mezerium LM 1 where you live?

Homeopathy International 1 last decade
Dear Jeswish Homeopath, I will hopefully be able to get in my town Mezerium LM1 from a maker called Cemon. It is in liquid form, ie drops. Please can you explain more clearly how am i supposed to take it and for how long.
Thank you very much

albapapa last decade
I'm not familiar with Cemon.

My recommendation is that you start with 10 drops into a 10oz container of water. Then drink one tablespoon of that.

If that leads to an improvement, then you can repeat as you feel appropriate. Some people use it every day, others once per month. Each time you use it, shake the container 15 times.

If you feel some improvement that is a good sign and let's wait another day or so and see how you feel.

Please report again in a day or two.
