The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Hyposensitive

1. Each symptom in as much detail as possible.

-Not really symptoms but
a) I love spicy food
b) I have this huge need to press against things or to press against myself
c) I love loud music

3. What first started it off
-I've always been like this
4. When it's worse
It's pretty constant

6. Your sleep pattern and details of any recurring dreams.

9:30pm - 3:30am

7. What you are sensitive to
-Understimulated to my environment
8. Your state of mind
-Need for attention

9. Any desires or aversions for particular foods, and wether certain foods make you feel better or worse.
-again, spicy food

10. Details of any major diseases suffered in past.
-None
11. Detals of any reactions to other medicines taken.
-None
12. History of homeopathic treatment if any.
-Tried Phosphorus, didn't seem to do too much, tried it at I think 30C but it was awhile ago

13. All other symptoms you have (ie watering eyes, cold feet, thirst).
-constipation

I'd like to find something that will normalize my sensitivity towards things, while still fulfilling these sensory needs.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
So do I understand correctly that you identify your problem as too little sensitivity?

Can you expand on the following:-

Sensation of pressing up against something

Experience of loud music, compared to say soft music. Does it matter what kind of music it is?

Do you wake at 330am too early or with some kind of problem, or is 6 hours enough for you?

Describe in great detail your lack of sensitivity (where you notice it, when it bothers you the most, what problems it creates for you, what if anything do you still have some noticeable sensitivity to)

Describe in more detail the constipation (when it happens, what makes it better, what makes it worse, what is the stool like, what kind of pain, what kind of odour)

You are correct, it's like I'm too little sensitive to things and so I have to overcompensate to fulfill my sensory needs.

Usually when I press against something, it's part of my body. Like I'll lay chest down, with my hands under my chest. This gives me the feeling pressure and makes me feel more relaxed.

The type of music doesn't really matter that much, it can be noise in general, like I prefer the sound of people talking over silence.

6 hours isn't bad, an extra hour though I didn't think would hurt me

Describe in more detail the constipation (when it happens, what makes it better, what makes it worse, what is the stool like, what kind of pain, what kind of odour)
-all the time it happens
-nothing seems to make it better not even drinking water, metamucil seemed to help for a while, stool is large, doesn't really hurt that much, but I'm use to larger stools I guess, smells like poop, not overly smelly, but not pleasant either

Describe in great detail your lack of sensitivity (where you notice it, when it bothers you the most, what problems it creates for you, what if anything do you still have some noticeable sensitivity to)
-I notice it more in class or at work, when I'm doing more mundane things, I don't notice as much when I'm home and doing things. The need to press against myself is very constant and happens all the time.
-I think my lack of enough stimulation causes me to behave not so great all the time. If there isn't enough noise around me I'll start talking to people. I don't prefer sitting on my hands all the time. I don't know, I just thought if there was a way to normalize this it might help me.
-I'm not really visually undersensitive, or smelling undersensitive. I don't go around and smell things all the time, or seek out visual stimulation.

There is a specific group of remedies that I have some experience with that might help you.

Can you define 'stimulation' a bit more for me. What is it that you feel you need or want?

Can you describe a bit more about doing mundane things, how that feels?

What is the experience of there not being enough stimulation?

Is it just auditory stimulation you are seeking?

What does it feel like when you press against something - what does it feel like to not be pressing against something?

No right or wrong answers here, just trying to get you to expand on those things.

stimulation - to feel like I am more apart of my environment.

mundane things - Usually when I get stuck doing mundane things, such as working or driving in the car, I'll find something else to keep me occupied, like listening to music. Then music becomes my primary focus and working or driving becomes secondary.

-not being enough stimulation- If I feel like there is not enough stimulation I'll find something to keep me more stimulated. I guess it would feel restless, bored. If my professors talk louder in class, I'm able to pay attention and understand. But when they talk in a normal voice, I have a difficult time staying in tune with them.

I think it is the auditory stimulation and the pressure stimulation.

It feels calming and relaxing to press against myself. I don't really sense anything when I don't press against myself, but it something I always do (when I'm sleeping, eating, at work, at school), so I thought I was fulfilling some sort of need.

Thanks for your help - if you have any other questions, I'd be happy to provide more detail

How hard to you need to press yourself to get relief?

If you become bored, restless, unstimulated - how do you manage or cope with it? What specifically do you do to deal with it in your life, not just in the immediate sense?

Define Stimulation for me - not just about you but define the concept for me, give examples of stimualating things, give examples of being stimulated. Also give examples of the opposite.

Was this problem/issue more intense at any other time in your life eg. during childhood, teenage years etc.?

-I press really hard.

-I replay reality with people's spirits. This gives me the ability to read past situations and rehearse conversations. Keeps me occupied.

-watching tv, listening to music, browsing the internet, walking, eating

-It's gotten progressively worse as I've aged, barely noticeable when I was smaller
