osteo arthiritis
my mother is suffering from pain around the left knee.she cannot sit with legs crossed ,she has pain if we press around the knee jointarvindjava on 2005-05-03

Osteo means bone , Osteo arthritis implies that the bones have become deformed?.
Sounds to me more like synovitis-- inflammation.
Dont go for antibiotics.
Ruta is often a good remedy for this problem.

no vaccinations ,but pain killers are used at times ,she has been taking

People do not seem to realise that antibiotics drive the inflammation away from its location and things seem fine
BUT BUT the inflammation goes deeper into the body and does some other harm!.
Thus her course of antibiotics will probably cure her sore throat and make her knee worse in due course.
You can try Ruta 1m one dose at night for three sucessive nights and wait.

I have used Bell 30c successfully to help throat infections which usually start with a virus which causes a sore throat and then when the bacteria take over and cause infections in the lungs, end up with a cough.
I use 2 pellets Bell 30 dose 3 times daily as soon as I notice the sore throat coming on and this usually aborts the virus. It is important to continue with the remedy for the day after the sore feeling in one's throat is helped as I have noticed that the same virus may stage a come back if remedy is not continued on the following day.
I have had instances when this treatment helps the throat but the virus takes over the nasal passages causing coryza and sneezing. I use Ferrum Phos 30x to stop the cold from taking hold, dose 1 tablet 3 time daily. This remedy should be repeated on the day after all symptoms are cured.
